Even more painfully one sided than the first time i saw it.
Whoever reccomended pavlik-lockett deserves shooting!!
I was tugging my hair off my scalp throughout all of this fight. I aint a Gary Lockett fan, but i wanted him to do well being british, but it was so cringeworthy!!
If that chapped your ass I would turn my set off because at 168 Pavlik will be the new super middle wieght, light heavy weight champion of the world. Taking Joe's belts. I would love to see Calzaghe try to kitty slap his way to a victory. Pavlik by k.o 5th to 8 round. I will be placing 200 bones on round seven if it happens. Hopefuly I will get 20-1 or 30-1
I always get a kick out of watching Pavlik because from looking at him and his thin bony frame, I don't think there is an ounce of muscle definition on the guy.
Yet he hits so damn hard! The punches don't even really look hard but they fall from them.
Good showing for Pavlik. Look for him to be champion for quite sometime.
It was amusing afterwards when on an interview Warren seemed to give the impression that " Lockett hurt Pavlik in the first round badly , but then let it slip away "
WTF WAS HE WATCHING?
His sports network connection with the WBO was the only reason Lockett was number 1 contender , and he was exposed as way short of world class.
yawn
you lot said the same thing when JC fought hopkins/kessler etc
Against gary lockett, pavlik was always going to have too much. fighters like taylor/miranda were suited to kelly as they were aggressive fighters that played into his gameplan.
But against JC he`d be up against a guy who would have more sense than to stand and trade for 12 rounds. He would work out pavliks fighting in straight lines and learn to box kelly at angles.
Then the whole question of whether kellys punch power would have the same effect at 168 than it does at 160 would come into play.
Too many questions unanswered to suggest kelly would beat joe!!!
the more i see of pavlik the more impressed i am. Would love to see him fight calzaghe. Lockett was totally outclassed although i believe he's a good fighter and couldve done a lot better than he did, but was just not up to standard.
Kelly did exactly what he was supposed to do. I was hoping Lockett would have lasted longer, and gave a better account of himself, but in all fairness I think he did everything he could.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I totally agree with that. Lockett was never gonna be able to take Pavliks punches and he needed to absorb some in order to be able to get close and reach him. Pavliks jabs was snapping his head back and the first one-two combo sent him backward. From then on Lockett never looked like he wanted to be there.
For one Hopkins was robbed and I dont know much about Kessler. I do know more about Pavlik and I still think he destroys Kitty Kat Cal. Here is the fight outcome from the future that I got with Doc and Marty from the flying Delorian.
