Default What are your guys speculations of Raushee Warren?..

As far as his career is concerned? And what it'll take to beat him?

i dont know much about him; just that hes about 20-21, been boxing since he was 6 and that hes slippery and can throw hands with Zab Judahlike speed and ferocity. The only thing i can see as a weakness, is that his style is real hands low style. The flaw i see with this is that he sometimes overextends with his leads which leaves hims open, and that he sometimes hops out of an exchange with his hands down, which gets him caught.

Do you think when he turns pro he will stay at 112?

He's definitely faster than Zab Judah, he has more Roy Jones p4p quickness. I think he will adapt to the pros, he is a lot younger than guys like Gamboa, and perhaps more physically gifted. He had a closest fight I've ever seen Guillermo RIgondeaux in back when he was 19, so he has to be doing something right, and since that fight(in 06) He hasn't lost, and besides that one lost he hasn't lost since the 2004 Olympics which was against the second best guy in the division(Chiming who is ranked #2 p4p in the amateurs last I checked). I seriously don't see an amateur with more potential than him, and I see him being the next southpaw version of Roy Jones or Whitaker, we'll see how well he does.

I am really high on Warren as well, I love his judgement of distance and his hand speed is awesome. I am concerned on how he would do against a swarming type fighter I think that would give him some problems.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I think he is tremendous.I've seen him not long ago at the Team USA Team Puerto Rico meeting and to me he has all the tricks to become one of the elite fighters.

I had heard of this guy bit not really taken any notice. Looked him up on youtube and i am impressed. Fast is an understatement, and he has that kind of swagger in the ring that i like. Unfortunately being so small it will be hard to make an impact in the pro boxing world. If he stays at 112 he will not get the recognition he deserves. But cos he is only 5 foot 4 he will find it hard to go too heavy. if he can still be great at 126-130 he will be a famous, and rich guy one day.

footspeed, power, reflexes do a number on swarming fighters when used properly. I think if he can learn to keep off the ropes he will be fine. As for his height, Pernell was 5'6, and was able to fight at the highest level all the way up to 140-147 so I wouldn't worry too much about Warren's height because I am not sure if he will ever have Pernell's defensive skills, but he definitely is a ton faster.

Being from Ohio as well, I see the sky's the limit for this kid. He has all the tools and athletic ability. He will improve on "D" and get those hands up.he was just so much better than 99% of the fighters he fought that he developed a nasty habit. But he's young enough to change.
It feels good to be back home.
