Cotto-Margarito Undercard Questions

Does anyone know what's being shown? And if they are going to show the undercard bouts on Yahoo like they do sometimes?

I can only assume that HBO would show Segura, that seems a given considering it's a title bout and I would hope they show Concepcion. Are they continuing this trend of 3 undercard fights and will they show Kid Diamond?

WBA #1 light flyweight Giovanni Segura (19-0-1, 15 KOs) and #2 Cesar Canchila (26-1, 21 KOs) will battle for the WBA interim light flyweight title on the July 26th Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito PPV card at the MGM Grand Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Segura was originally scheduled to challenge WBA champion Brahim Asloum on the same day in France, but that card fell through when French TV made a lowball offer to Asloum's promoter. Other bouts scheduled for the PPV telecast include undefeated contender Mike Alvarado (21-0, 14 KOs) in his toughest test against former world champion Cesar Bazan (48-10-1, 31 KOs) in a ten-round super lightweight bout. The opener is a ten-round super bantamweight rumble between top-rated contender Bernabe Concepcion (25-1-1, 14 KOs) and Adam Carrera (19-3, 8 KOs). Remaining tickets, priced at $700, $500, $300, $200 and $100, can be purchased at the MGM Grand Garden Arena box office and at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations. Ticket sales are limited to eight ( per person.

The off-TV undercards will be streamed live on Yahoo.com so we'll get to see Rojas. Yahoo apparently does that for all the HBO PPV undercards now.

Well they are doing the right thing. I know they aren't the most salivating fights but it's a ridiculously good main event so they are trying to expose America to solid talent they don't know about yet and build them up. Don't know if you've seen him but Bernabe Concepcion is someone the fans are really going to like when they see him. Not sure just how good he is yet but he's exciting. Same with Segura and Alvarado.

As I have been saying a lot, Rojas is the next great Puerto Rican star. Please watch this guy if you can. I am also interested in seeing Concepcion, since he may be fighting Lopez soon.

I'm not quite sure yet but they usually start about 3 hours before the PPV broadcast begins. When it gets closer and Yahoo posts the times I will start a thread and post it up and let you know.

Maybe the fights will surprise us and be worth it, but on paper it's a pretty disappointing undercard.
