    Default My fight

I fought the night before Thanksgiving and lost. It was a great feeling to be back up there. After two years I was a little rusty but all the jitters and rust went away after the first round. The whole fight the guy layed on the ropes I would jab him and jab him but when he got a hint of me throwing my right hand he jumped in and held.He was warned about ten times for holding and hitting and then with the cleanest punch of the fight from him he hit me on my right knee.He was holding and hitting which means no points in the amateurs unless they've changed and I wasn't informed. After the fight I felt I could have done more but I did feel it was and easy win. When the desicion was made a crowd full of people screamed boo.My trainer's wife who is part of the Amateur boxing Assc. Screamed at the judges at ringside. I figured it was just my friend's who were pissed but the biggest surprise was big Tim Witherspoon coming up to me and saying " You won that fight man,You were robbed".A surge of pride went right through me saying damn I did win didn't I.Another was Kerry Judge who set the show up.Kerry was a pro had about 18 or so fight's around Philly. His brother was 1 of the fighter's who fought Foreman in Toronto and tackled him to the canvas. Anyway he looked at me and said "you didn't lose that fight". So if all these people thought I won and I am the hometown boy How the f**k did I lose? I was ok right after the fight and Thanksgiving but now I am kind of remembering everything that happenend and I keep saying how the hell did I not win.So I was a victim to what many have been through in this game. The only thing I can do is come back stronger and less jittery and maybe they'll like what I did next time and give me a win.

Again thankyou to all for supporting me. I didn't get any pics or footage but I found this to be what it was kind of like the whole night.

well win or lose at least your getting experience. Like trainer monkey said at least its in the amateurs where you can get screwed and bounce back easily unlike the pros where you stuck with a red mark on your record. That was always my logic before turning pro, stay busy and gain as much experience as you can.

No kidding,I do alot of booking, you get a few pro wins under your belt, noones going to care that much about your ammie rankings, but you start racking up losses in the pro's,your in trouble, and hard to book.

I bet they were scoring punches that shouldn't count, amateurs are screwy, alot of body shots dont get scored...wtf is that? Its almost better to pick 1 shot at a time because flurries only score 1 point.
