Would be a shock, but it wouldn't actually be that far fetched a tale.

BBC SPORT | Boxing | Calzaghe ends Warren association
Welshman Joe Calzaghe has split from long-term promoter Frank Warren.
Super-middleweight and light-heavyweight king Calzaghe has been promoted by Warren since 1996.
But with Calzaghe eyeing up a career swansong, possibly against Roy Jones Jr later this year, he has ended his 12-year association with Warren.
"I am now a free agent with no contract and intend to be self-managed from now on," the 36-year-old Calzaghe said in the South Wales Argus.
Warren was contacted but declined to make any comment on the split.
The Newbridge-based Calzaghe is currently big box office in the United States following his points win over Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas in April.
And with the southpaw vowing to box one last time, he has decided to split from Warren and promote the fight himself.
606: DEBATE
I honestly feel if Joe had done this 10 years ago he would be seen as a great
sensational
"My intention is to fight Roy Jones Jr, a four-weight world champion fighter," said Calzaghe.
"That would be a special event for me against a legend of the sport.
"There are issues to be resolved with my former promoter Frank Warren and I hope they can be done so amicably."
Warren's Sports Network were contacted by BBC Sport but declined to make any comment on the split.
Under Warren's management, Calzaghe became the undisputed super-middlweight champion of the world and added the light-heavyweight crown with his defeat of Hopkins.
He fought 26 times under Warren's Sports Network banner, including career-defining bouts against Chris Eubank, Byron Mitchell, Jeff Lacy, Mikkel Kessler and Hopkins.
In April, Warren said he would offer Calzaghe the chance to become a partner at Sports Network, an offer the Welshman has passed up on.
"Joe can become a partner at Sports Network. I am very serious about what I am saying," Warren told The Sun.
"Joe has been a great signing for me, personally, and for boxing. His experience could prove invaluable but Joe will decide how he wants to play it."
Pavlik is unbeaten in 34 professional fights
Meanwhile, Calzaghe, who was recently awarded a CBE for his services to sport, has been accused of running scared of big-hitting American Kelly Pavlik.
Calzaghe has ruled out a big-money showdown with fellow unbeaten star Pavlik, the WBO and WBC middleweight champion.
But Pavlik's trainer Jack Loew said: "How many more excuses is this guy going to make? If Joe Calzaghe fought Kelly, he'd be in trouble.
"There's no way he'd beat Kelly, he's just a slap-happy Welshman."
Pavlik has told 10-year champion Calzaghe he wants to "get it on" but the undisputed super-middleweight wants to fight ageing great Jones Jnr.
Although Calzaghe insists he would beat Pavlik, the powerhouse from Ohio would be a risk to the Newbridge fighter's unbeaten record at this late stage in his career.
The legendary Jones is a four-weight world champion but is considered by many pundits as yesterday's news, with rising star Pavlik the promising new kid on the block.
Calzaghe's stablemate Gary Lockett, trained by Calzaghe's father Enzo, was demolished by Pavlik inside three rounds earlier this month, and Loew admitted: "Jones Jnr is a smarter fight for Calzaghe.
"This is what happened: his dad went back and said 'don't fight this killer, he is gonna knock you out'. "I'm ticked off as he's telling us that we don't want to fight him. But yes, we do want to fight Joe Calzaghe. He doesn't want to fight Kelly Pavlik."
Chinese whispers
"It wasn't the night of the jab"
Thank for source. We can't put it on Warren now for Calzaghe to not be fighting Pavlik. If he believes as he said that he is so much better, then maybe the fight will happen. Would love to see it, but still believe a RJJ type fight is his smart career decision.
Being a Pavlik fan, I want this fight. Being a realist I think Joe will get hurt.
I don't think Pavlik would beat Calzaghe. This is another case of no matter how many you beat, there's always somebody else waiting in the wings. I understand why Calzaghe wants to fight Jones. The preference would have been to have the fight happen a decade ago, but just imagine if you were a boxer, who would you love to get in a ring with: Jones Jr. or Pavlik- a living legend or a rising star? I'd go with Jones too. He isn't what he was, but he's no pushover either. I think a battle with RJJ will be a lot more competitive than people think for the simple fact that styles make fights. Joe is fast and awkward, but a relatively light puncher. Jones is still fast and awkward and he can hit hard when he feels like it. Both have good defense and Jones' ring experience adjusts for what he's lost.
Oops
guess we`ll never really know
pavliks main attribute to winning the fight would be superior power.
But would that really be that much of a difference at 168?? JC would love the fact pavlik tends to go square on and would fight the man at angles.
I say a JC win but he`ll still get a lot badder beaten up than a 38 year old jones could ever hope to do!!
BBC SPORT | Boxing | Calzaghe ends Warren association
to little to late imo.
Guarantee Warren will say he and Arum had the Pavlik fight done but Calzaghe didn't want it (so naturally that means he bottled it).
Problem is - Calzaghe-Jones might be Sky PPV
Hopefully though, Calzaghe will fight on ITV.. or even the BBC might be interested.
Wonder why he has split now when he says he is only having 1 last fight?
I still think he beats Pavlik at this stage in his career.
I think Joe will still have problems with Jones cause he is still faster than any1 he his faced before and still has decent power with his right hand that will trouble Joe.Joe takes Jones out late on in the fight but i see it quite close fight for the first 4 rounds then Joe takes over.
He should have done this years ago then perhaps he would have taken more risks and could have been a legend for fighting the best rather than because he made 21 or 22 defences.
to late IMO... If he is only one fight then out he should have just stuck with warren and finished his career stress free
my only advice to joe now would be to be very carful what he goes on record as saying from today onwards... and Ring up Naz and Ricky for a few pointers on what not to say
Good luck Joe you aint got long left so tread carfully![]()
