Default Tomasz Adamek vs Steve Cunningham My Scorecard

    1 Cunningham
    2 Adamek 10-8
    3 Cunningham
    4 Adamek 10-9
    5 Adamek
    6 Cunningham
    7 Cunningham
    8 Adamek 10-8
    9 Adamek
    10 Cunningham
    11 Cunningham
    12 Cunningham

    113-113

I thought Steve Cunningham fought a hell of a fight, in the last 3 rounds. And i thought he pulled out a draw. I only scored the 4th round 10-9, because Adamek was dominated for over 2 minutes of that round.

I think it was impossible points wise that Steve Cunningham could of won, but i still think he done enough in the later rounds to earn a draw.

I think there should be a rematch because Steve Cunningham was a little bit unlucky, with two of those knockdowns IMO.

Amazingly i forgot this fight was happening yesterday, i was out most of the night. Then found out the next morning it had happened, so i was a bit gutted. But i didn't know the result so it was like watching it live.

Overall amazing fight and it was almost another JMM vs Manny Pacquiao 1, regarding coming back from 3 knockdowns.

I know when people reply to this my scorecard will probably be unpopular. But i wasn't rooting for any fighter over another, thats just genuinely how i felt about the scoring.

This is professional boxing and knockdowns can be deciding factors. I remember seeing this four round fight where this guy was a little anxios early and caught off balance twice in the 1st round round was never hurt either time but went down twice and there was contact from a punch. He completely outboxed the other guy for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds, taking him to school...and lost a decision. Adamek deserved the win but Cunningham is the better boxer, just not tonight.

I haven't seen the fight, but I share your sentiments on knockdowns and the automatic two pointer is a load of crap. IMO you have to be winning the round anyway before getting the extra point, if what you're talking about is right then that shot cost a 3 point swing.

I f the round is close and there's a knockdown then by all means score it 10-8. But judges are also very reluctant to score a dominant round 10-8 without a knockdown which is just as criminal. But in there defence, scoring any knockdown round 10-8 is a safe bet in terms of beeing doubted after a fight.

Not huge on either guy but I had Adamek winning it,aside from the KDs I thought he was able to change things up instantly,Forced Cunningham to react and adjust to him.Cunningham clearly more skilled imo but was very erratic and negated to find his hard jab and consistency. Both displayed boo-koo courage.

The whole 10 point must can play with ones mind.I always flash back to Holyfield vs. Moorer 1 and the 2nd round.Solid majority of the round was a jabbing clinic By Moorer, boxed nice and convincing...then at the end Holyfield gets him along ropes and lands a harsh 1-2 and a left hook drops Moorer on his butt hard. The judges scored it 10-10 and it was the difference between a draw and Holyfield or Moorer winning.Call me nuts but neither guy Technically deserved a 10 ? Alot of bureaucracy sometimes.

I gave it to Adamek but I have to agree with you on the not rooting for one or the other....I like both fighters and think both are really talented....I was a fan of Adamek before he fought Dawson and I am a fan of Cunningham's ability as a boxer...

Would like to see both square off again...With no question theses are the best 2 CW fighters in the world at the moment.....

IMO they are both matched pretty evenly with one having the upper in one area and one guy in another but neither being too bad in any dept...

They would trade wins back and forth with neither coming out the dominate one in the end...

    Hope they do it again

I did not know that Nick Charles and ICB were in fact the same person.

If Cunningham didnt get kncked down in the last seconds of those rounds he was leading he would have won. He fought valiantly after the knockdowns but 3 was just too many. I would like to see a rematch it was a fun fight to watch.

Just finished watching the fight on youtube.. Great fight indeed, can't help but feel Cunningham ruined it for himself as well as he fought at times, I always get that feeling when the more athletic fighter doesn't use his assets to the fullest though, and I'm drunk, so what do I know.

My looks about the same but I gave 11 to Adamek. He landed the much more effective blows. After round 11, I was confident Adamek won the the fight.

This was a fight where personal preferences could play a major role in how you scored it.

I wasn't scoring each round, but I think Adamek clearly won. I probably would have scored it something 115-113 for Adamek. Cunningham dominated at certain points, but other than round 4 and a few random moments, his punches didn't do anything at all to Adamek. He is almost like the Malignaggi of Cruiserweights. What is knockout percentage? It must be something like 30%.

With his aggressive pursuing, I thought Adamek dictated the pace for a lot of the fight, although some of it wasn't effective aggression. Other than round 4, Adamek landed many more power punches.
