dont Fuck with the chuck
Nothing really. he doesnt even have to fight Margarito IMO. i would just rather him fight Pac and retire for good.
He doesn't need to do anything. if he did, however, come back and beat those two then the next set of fans would be right there for him to fight Cotto. Then to fight Berto. Then to fight whomever the next flavor of the month is. Some guys just can't do enough. People want to see them fail and when they are not obliged they assign names like 'ducker'.
Oops
He is retired and IF is a small word that can have big meaning...Until he comes back officially no need to even speculate..
Right now truth be told he might be an underdog against Pacquiao...Manny has proven to be an animal of a whole new kind...not just a one demensional fighter that fits PBF's style.....
IMO he is much faster then Floyd, he has a higher punch ratio, has fought the better comp then Floyd over the last years of Floyds career and he is hungry something PBF has not been since the Corrales fight
IF Floyd came back it just may be to get his ass kicked

People wouldn't give him credit at all, Pacquiao would be considered a smaller opponent He should beat, and the way he would beat Margarito would make people say Tony was overrated, and I think he is. IMO Cotto or even Berto in a year or two or stylistically a more difficult challenge for Mayweather then a guy who couldn't catch him in a 8 by 8 ring with roller blades on.
That's right. He can come back and beat them both and people will still moan and groan. Then a new young prospect pops up and "Oh, if he fought him, he would definitely loose". It never ends.People want to see them fail and when they are not obliged they assign names like 'ducker'.
Floyd could beat both the klitchko's right after that and people will still cry and say he ducked james toney or some shit. I would say a couple of years from now paul williams has the best chance at beating floyd and i even doubt that he even would. People will jump behind anyone in the hopes that floyd looses no one cares who it is that does it.

He needs to go back and fight Pac IMO. Now that Pac has come up in weight and in 'class'. I think this is a very doable fight now. And yes I also think it would be highly competitive. I heard he needs the money. and he needs to show the world he's the undisputed best P4P fighter of this era.

Well getting right down to it I think Paul Williams is easily the biggest challenge for him at 147 pounds. Not that it makes sense for him to take the fight over Pac obviously, but if your looking for the one guy he would probably gain most in beating from a boxing standpoint it should be Williams.
I don't see Paul Williams being a challenge at all, look at the first Quintana fight, Carlos is nowhere near Floyd's league, but being a counter puncher really caused Paul problems, he caught Carlos with a good punch in the second fight, but if that didn't happen we don't know how that fight would have turned out, but Paul might not even be able to make welterweight anymore.
IMO Pacquiao is the only fight left for Mayweather, they are of similar size, speed, skill(in different ways), conditioning, etc, etc. This would be a fight to definine Mayweather's career, I think he should only come back for fights that will be the most important fight of his career. Margarito wouldn't be, Paul Williams wouldn't be, Cotto wouldn't be, but Pacquiao would be, He's going to be considered the best fighter of the last 20 years by me until Floyd beats him. Nobody has done anything to compare with what Pacman has in the last 20 years, and that includes my two favorite fighters ever in Floyd and Roy.
For years I always felt Cotto would edge him. I think Margo found a way to beat Cotto's pressure but I could never see Floyd dealing with Cotto's ability to change style throughout a fight. I wanted to see the fight just to know if I was right or not, but if Floyd stayed retired, I'll be satisfied with his place in history because the man really is one of the best fighters I've ever seen grace a boxing ring.
In my humble opinion, Paul Williams beats Floyd right now.
Who hopes Floyd loses?
But, don't get your hopes up, Floyd isn't coming back for any big welterweight fight. I would be very, very surprised if he ever fought Paul Williams or Antonio Margarito. However, I'd love to be proved wrong.
If, and it is a big "if," Floyd came back, he'd fight Pacman or a rematch with Hatton.
