    Default First Impression

This was my first time seeing this kid Ali Funeka fight and I was very Impressed. Seems to have a good Chin, good stamina, boxing fundementals, staying power and he is a Big Kid. Does anyone think he will make a big spash at 135 or 140 or am I making to much out of 1 performance. I know he is a less then perfect fighter but it seems like I see something in him that can be great if he can hold 135 and maybe 140. He did KO Z Raheem and that fight with Campbell could of went either way or a draw. He did prove last night he could stick with the toughest in the division.

He has a good base to build on but at times he lowered his guard, he gave up his height, and his chin ain't that great as Nate Campbell isn't the greatest of punchers...he's good but not the best right now.

I think Funeka can do something in the division if he can adjust his style so that his shortcomings aren't as visible. If Nate had a left hook Ali would have been KO'd. Nate needed to feint the right cross and throw the left hook, but even though he telegraphed the overhand right he was able to land it.

I would like to see Ali fight the winner of Chavez-Katsidis or Casamayor-Julio Diaz

I liked Funeka, he has his flaws, but he definately is tailor made for exciting fights, high output, decent skill set. I'd definately watch him again.

He has a few things to improve on but over all I was impressed myself, Of course I would have to reserve my judgement for another viewing because that was not the best version of Nate Cambell but over all I liiked the guy, I think a title is in his future...

Though he went down twice in the fight from the same punch so I am not sure on how solid he is in the absorb a punch dept but he looked pretty durable

I've been trying to tell guys about Ali, I was seriously hoping he would blow nate away. He's a big 135der, he could of use his reach more and load up from the outside. I think the fight should of been a draw, Ali won most of the rounds but nate wasn't gonna let him walk away with the win.

I think Ali has a great futute, IMO he beats most of the top 135ders and will definetly win a title sooner or later.

Yeah I thought it should have been a draw as well...I don't know where some of those guys had Nate up by 3 rds....If not for the 2 knockdowns on my scorecard Ali would have won the fight...Actuially if not for the last knockdown....

To be fair that was not the best version of Nate Campbell.......I actually felt bad for Ali afterward..he took the loss hard...

I never like seeing a guy fight so hard then get the shaft on the cards
