    Default Ebay advice

Right i "Aquired" a "HP TFT7600 Rack Mount Keyboard / 17" LCD Monitor" from work

Brand new just not boxed and worth around £1300

Stuck it on Ebay for £599 reserve and just wondered if it would be better as a "Buy Now" ?

Theres a few others on there that are new and boxed for around £800 and to be honest it's a specialist bit of kit that is really only useful in the data/tele comms world so i don't expect to shift it within the 10 days.

Anyone have past experience with ebay and can anyone offer any advise please?

    Thanks

    Smash

That type of item is never gonna be an inpulse buy, only somebody looking for it will buy it! I'd put it as "Buy it now" for £800ish and if it doesn't sell in 3 days, put it on an auction with reserve

    I aint an expert tho

start it at 99p stick a reserve on it and bobs your uncle... BUT the most important thing to do is make sure you title has the words people are gonna type in when serching for it with no spelling mistakes.

ebay will supprise you bigtime mate there is a customer for everything... i have sold all sorts of crap on there from ebooks to make your dick bigger to selling my german house in 2 weeks.... still proud of that one

    good luck

looks good to me mate... the only thing that might go against you is having no feedback.

i never bid on anything if they have no feedback unless its collection only...but that just me.

apart from that good work the 99p might get them at it

you will prob get a few emails from ebay members asking whay your reserve is... just tell them the truth if that happens

Will do fella and thanks for the advice!!

Never thought of the 99p way and have just added a subtitle to it which now means i owe them £24 which i hope i'll be charged when i sell it

So if it doesn't go within the 10 days do i have to re advertise it and pay again or do they extend it for free?

    Absolutely clueless to all this.

£24 that seems high... if it don't sell you lose your dosh... might get a free relisting not sure anymore.

but you don't have to pay till the end of the month anyways

not used ebay for some time and they have had alot of rule changes that have made alot of sellers leave but all that really means is less sellers more buyers so its prob even better now

I have sold stuff ebay don't allow like Airpistols and Blank firing guns by just using google to find a suitable forum with a classified section.

There might be one for your item Smash.

    hahahahaahaha

I have visions of a phone call from an IT provider to the data center.

'Hello......Yeah we need to get server1 rebooted, can you take care of it for us?'

'Yeah sure, I'll just go to the rack'

    Pause

'Ummmmmm there appears to be a problem'

When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

thats a great start mate as they are finding it.... most bids on ebay happen in the last minute of the sale

it can be on £30 for days then right at the last minute it goes up in hundreds.... if your reserve is cheap for what it is you'll sell it

just log into your ebay account and check how many watchers you have... that will give you a better clue on who is waiting till to bid right in the closing minutes
