My favourite parking letter yet!

My postman has just delivered me another hilarious letter from WJ Parking today!

This one is headed with a yellow banner and the words in big capital letters 'NOTICE OF COURT PROCEEDINGS'.

It looks almost threatening until you notice in the words in small print underneat 'This is not a court document'

It then goes on to tell me that this is their final notice of intended court action and valid even if not read. (actaully not valid even if read haha) and for me to TAKE NOTICE that documents are being prepared for the issue of court proceedings for RECOVERY OF THE DEBT.


So what about the previous 6 letters they've sent me telling me of intended court action and their preparing of documents? How fucking long do they take to prepare and how many times does the law state they must warn me of this intention to prepare?

This letter then goes on to warn me that if I do not pay the debt in full by 10 am on the 20th March that they will 'definitely, finally, for real, in all seriousness, no joking any more, absolutely without delay, with no more warnings, or any second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh chances take immediate court action to reclaim this debt'

They even tell me that if it goes to court I may face ' SEIZURE AND SALE OF PROPERTY'

Really? To pay a £260 debt the court would force the sale of my flat? And I don't it own it I rent, so my landlord won't be best pleased.

These have got to be the worst, most pathetically amatuer debt recovery and parking agency in the world

Once again I will file this away, completely ignore their demands and await letter number 8 to see what they threaten me with next

Oh and of course, I'm still waiting for their visit that they warned me about a couple weeks ago.

How about posting back one of the first letters with "Not known at this address" plastered over the front of it , just to confuse the issue a touch further for them.

Wonder what happens to court proceedings if someone changes their name proir to going and then saying; well it obviously isnt me.
For something light I imagine they'd have to change all their paper work and get you back in later.

Maybe you could write to them anyway and state you have changed your name to ( whatever ) and all correspondance should be from this date made out to that name.
Then if one arrives in that name; you write "Not known at this address". and then send it back.

ha I know it must the seventh thread I've created it, every time they send me a new letter.

Anyways their final deadline is tomorrow morning at 10 am so we shall see if they actually intend to go through with it this time, or if, (as I suspect) I'll be receiving letter number 9 telling me they can reposess my car at any time if I do not reply.

They are running out of new threats now so I expect by about letter 15 they will be telling me they can stop me from going to heaven when I die and that they have the power to demand from God the right to claim ownership of my soul
