Default ~ Can "Carita" Lopez add another title to Puerto Ricos history?

I've had the oppourtunity to see "Carita" Lopez title fights, I've seen 3 of them and he's come up short. He joins a list of boxers whom have tried multiple times to capture a title but yet have fallen short.

Victor Polo, Yaqui Lopez, Jose Navarro, Andrew Golota and more recently Rocky Juarez have all had several attempts at titles and failed. This will be attempt #5 for Lopez who has a really tough task infront of him.

In his 1st title fight Lopez was clearly outboxed by Alberto Jimenez who kept him at the end of his jab and was just more experienced and a better all around boxer.
    I haven't seen his 2nd title fight.
In his 3rd title fight it was one of the craziest things that has ever happened in the sport. I mean this is up there with Fan Man, Tyson ear bite... In a card that took place out here in Cali on the undercard of MAB fght. Lopez was set to fight Alejandro Montiel (Older brother of Fernando Montiel) but Alejandro pulled out of the fight due to an illness just a few HOURS before the fight. A fighter by the name of Isidro Garcia happened to be sitting ringside for the fight and was asked if he wanted to take the shot as the title that was being disputed was vacant. I believe Garcia was rated #3 by the sanctioning body at the time and was given the OK to fight for that reason because the title was vacant and he was highly ranked. Garcia went on to beat Lopez and won the title.
In his 4th title fight Lopez faced off against Fernando Montiel and actually was doing pretty good midway through the fight but Montiel pulled off the late rally to win on points.

For his 5th shot at a title Lopez will face off against "The Machine Gun" Posuwan who's no easy task. He's got a lot of history in the sport as amateur and as a pro he's had one title shot and it came vs. Fernando Montiel in 2005 which he lost by UD.

This fight should be really interesting as "Carita" Lopez is one exciting fighter he comes to fight and he's hungry for that title. I really don't think he want's to leave that place without a title.
