Nadal looks strong for the French as usual, I'll be cheering on Federer though. He never quite makes it on the clay which is a shame. I would like him to win the French open one time before he retires.

I agree Miles I wouldn't mind seeing Federer snatch a french open title before he retires.

I have also always been a fan of Roddick mainly because he's from the US but he just never puts it all togehter all he really has is the serve and that only gets you so far.

Of course I'd like to see Fed win a FO to cap off his grand slam trophy case. He could do it, but he will be in deep if he makes it to Novak Djokovich; who is playing huge clay tennis lately. Fed did just beat Nadal 2 weeks ago at Madrid on clay so that gave him a boost mentally; but it is hard to bet against Nadal at Roland Garros. He does look a little off lately, probably due to him playing so much tennis this year.

I'll take Nadal, hard to bet against someone who has dominated for 4 years; but it could be Novak or Verdasco's year if Nadal runs empty.

On te women's side I want Safina to win; otherwise I couldn't care less. As long as Maria "Big Bird" Sharapova or those hood rat sisters Serena and Venus don't win.

More chance of Kid Thunder getting a shot at Mayweather before Nadal loses at the French Open, no one beats him in 5 sets on clay hes a machine, The only player that comes close is Djokovic on clay.

    Nadal - Djokovic final.

I agree with Big H, I think Federer will win Wimbledon i dont think he played his best last year and Nadal played out of his skin, the pressure will be off a bit more this year as all the spotlight will be on Nadal, i think Wimbledon will be good this year and is quite open compared to the Nadal Open oh sorry mean the French Open .

Its a shame Miles. Nadal is the best clay courter of all time if he wasnt about Federer would of had at least a couple of French Open titles, but i feel Federer has missed his chance, clay is the most demanding slam physically and if you look hes coming upto 28 and thats relitivly old in tennis terms Nadal is only getting stronger, he had his best chance when he won the first set 6-1 in 2006 final then just folded, i cant see him winning it ever.

Federer had me a little nervous yesterday. I was at the gym on the eliptical watching it, they were both tied with one set a piece and now playing in third set and Acasuso was up 4 games to nothing. I was like what the hell is goingon with Federer. I then went to lift some wieghts and after being in there for awhile popped my head in to check the score and Federer had came back and won that set and was about to win the fourth for the watch. I was impressed.

Yeah Fed was on the ropes with Jose. He's played Jose before, bt that was the 1st time on clay I think. You never know how another opponent will be on clay vs. hardcourt, and I think it threw him off. I knew Rog would win, if it had to go to a 5 setter; he didn't seem to be panicking. His stats for the game were actually pretty good, and he played some amazing defense when he had to.

I liked the fact it pushed him; Fed always plays better in a major if he is pushed in the tourny, by the time he gets to he finals he is on par. Only problem is so is Nadal. But last year Fed didn't have a tough draw and got steamrolled by Rafa; at least the 2 previous years he was pushed to play better tennis leading up to the finals and made it more competitive, though he lost

I still think Novak will beat Fed in the 1/4's; that kid has become a monster on clay; and everyone seems tof orget about Verdasco.

Just saw that Nadal steamrolled Hewitt. I know Hewitt was never really good on clay but he has really fell off the ladder within the last year, hasnt he? Was he even ranked?

Yeah Hewiit was ranked #1 many moons ago. He has battled injuries and had hip surgery. He's pretty much done but has alot of fight in him. He can give hell on he hardcourt. One of the best matches I ever saw was him against Baghdati at the Australian Open. Longest match in AO history; epic match. ever get bored ck. it out; fun stuff.
