Default Khan-Kotelnik.. Who wins/Who do you want to win?

    I want Khan to win.

But i think Kotelnik is underrated, the best fighter Khan has faced so far (Barrera being a little fossil) and even though he doesn't have an agressive style, I can't see Khan getting through 12 rounds without getting caught.

So Kotelnik will win by KO.

I hope youre right but from what Ive seen of Kotelnik , he cant knock a guy out even when he is asking to be knocked out. He is very slow and although he may wobble and floor Khan in this fight, he isnt a finisher.

It will be frustrating to watch for the Khan haters and he will survive and rough patches to take the fight on points. Whether he deserves the decision or not he will get it.

I really don't have a rooting interest either way; best man win and all that.

Anyone think Prescott/Khan II will ever happen? You gotta think Khan woul like to at least attempt to avenge that loss. I'd be interested to see it again; though I would think his team doesn't want that anytime soon.

I think Khan will edge this one, but I still think don't think he will become a great world champion, just too chinny!

I say Khan wins it on points. On the attack, Amir Khan is world class. On defence though, he is very amateurish. Kotelnik is fairly slow and methodical though, so I imagine Khan & Freddie have a strategy to box his head off all night.

I want Khan to lose because I'm still bitter about the Barrera charade. Kotelnik is a decent fighter, but he has an uphill task on his hands. He is not just taking on dribblemouth Khan but he is also taking on a Warren and Co. who will seemingly stop at nothing to get the result they want. We must prepare to protest any shady business. Khan getting a shot was shady enough. It's anyones guess how far the shadiness will go come fightnight.

Hopefully Kotelnik will play a little rough and get to Khan a fair bit. Otherwise we will have Khan poncing about throwing repetitive jabs and wildly innacurate 4-6 punch combinations in all kinds of bizarre directions. Meanwhile he will have that bizarre expression on his face that looks a bit like a chicken that has just laid an egg.

I cannot deal with that kind of shit really. Just knock the twat out Kotelnik!

Kotelnik by 9th round stoppage when Khan begins to slow down.

I'm a fan of Khan, therefore I want him to win, and I think he will with a wide UD decision. But who knows.. I don't think he's been up against anyone with Amir's speed before (correct me if i'm wrong) and it may open up some chunks in his defence.. Khan has decent power, and if it's not enough to knock Kotelnik down, Khan will just flurry until he forces a stoppage.

I'm convinced Khan's defense is alot better now. It was pretty solid against Barrera, I could only presume it's better still by now.

I've got Khan by close, maybe even controversial decision (would be pretty shocked if he stopped him, Kotelnik's not real athletic but he knows what he's doing).

And I want Amir to win. This isn't even close, who is more interesting for the future of boxing, Khan or Kotelnik. Plus I like any fighter that is wildly disliked by so many for reasons I can't quite figure out.

His defence was fantastic. Blind the opposition first!

I'm actually quite split here.. will it be sweeter to win money on Kotelnik or to see so many grumbling haters gutted when Khan becomes "world" champion?

I don't think you can buy that type of happiness. Well, of course you can.

Logging on and seeing Missy in a fury has got to be worth at least 150 dollars or so, or whatever you Welsh people call your money these days.

So what would this win do for Amir P4P wise?

Same here. I'll be rooting for Khan. But I think Koltenik will take it by decision.

Very suprised most of you seem to think this will be a close one, personally im thinking a very wide UD for Khan or a TKO. Kotlenik (or however its spelt) doesnt really have the weapons to combat Khans speed or the power to KO him like Prescott. Besides if Khans defence has improved as much as it did in his last fight im not sure Kotlenik will be able to land on his chin more than once or twice throughout the fight. His best shot would be to go to the body IMO. Still Khan wins this one easy i think.

I don't really care who wins this match although it would be nice to see Khan humbled....again

I leaning towards a close decision win for Kotelnik but I wouldn't rule out a knockout win for him either. I know Kotelnik's not a big puncher but I'd say he hits just about as hard(if not harder) as Willie Limond who had Khan on queer street. And unlike Limond, Kotelnik is a world class operator.

A Khan victory wouldn't surprise me as he's improved over time. I just don't trust his chin.
