Seems like a nice enough guy, but talking about americans blowing smoke out of there ass, saying he will be held in the same breath as Floyd and RJJ now thats some delusional type shit, but I respect him for keeping that mentality
Direll has his issues but froch is way too slow with his hands feet and mind. Direll will potshot and pester this guy like crazy. In a two foot ring taking away all those advantages froch would probably beat his ass, but i dont' even see this fight as being competetive. Probably even boring with direll winning pretty easy.

What are the odds that this tournament falls apart half way through?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I see Dirrell getting away with flaws that only RJJ would get away with, or so I thought, but Dirrell is so good in many ways, the only problem I see is that some of the fights he has become complacent because nobody has been able to challenge him physically or skill wise at all.
However, if you watch him in the olympics especially against that Cuban he has the technical skills and the composure, I just think he needs an opponent he needs to take seriously which he hasn't encountered yet.
If Froch wanted to bolster his reputation he shouldn't be fighting on a PPV channel no-one has ever heard of.

Dirrells just another unbeaten american fighter that looks extremely good on espn fighting mid card talent yet will fall badly short when fights like this come knocking.
I like andre i really do, very good technical fighter with fast hands. But i dont give him a chance to win this fight. Froch will be just too clever for him and fighting infront of 15,000 will get to a young fighter like dirrell especially if he starts taking punishment early on.
Dirrell will dominate the early stages of the fight. Froch always starts badly. But by 5-6 he`ll be moving through the gears and by 10-12 froch is really gonna put on a show and take out a convincing decision!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
Not sure, but I'll say this: I'd still be happy if the only fights to come off are the ones this month. Showtime managed to put together fights between six of the ten top fighters in a hot division in one month! That is impressive. Three of the six are current or former world champions and 3 of the six are former Olympic medalists. And the matchups are exciting. Froch v. Dirrell in Nottingham (at least recently, when is Froch not in a good fight), Kessler v. Ward (excited to see Kessler back in a big fight again and Ward since he beat Miranda), and Abraham v. Taylor (AA finally having a chance to test his skills against a champ and Taylor to see if he still has it in him to win a big fight). Other than the Pacquiao v. Cotto fight, those are the three big fights of the next two months..
Similar question was put to Froch by Mick Gill in this month's Boxing Monthly, & I'll add Froch's tirade against Dirrell following the question as well in a small excerpt from it. All credit the writer & magazine.
BM: Do you expect the tournament to be seen through to the end?
CF: I do, yes. We've all signed a 35-page contract and, if anyone withdraws, basically they'll be finished from boxing (sic). That said, expect Dirrell to turn it in after I've smashed him. I don't like him.
BM: Because?
CF: He's a leery motherfucker, very confident and cocky. He's been gobbing off that, ideally, he'd have chosen me first because I'm the easiest. What bollocks. I'm the fuckin' tournament favourite!
In reality, it's real bad luck for him, I've got to respect his fast hands, but he easily brings the least credibility to the table. It's his first 12-round fight, totally inexpereienced. And he's got so many flaws. I beat him in every department. He's gonna need a hug after I've finished with him.
Dirrell's got to fly over to my backyard, face my hostile crowd. I'll get in his face, belt him hard and watch him fall apart. He's gonna get mashed - stopped or knocked out in six or seven rounds max. It's gonna be beautiful.
Once again, I'm hoping that Froch gets beat. I normally love a cocky, arrogant fighter, but something about Froch just really winds me up. Probably the fact he says he's as good as Mayweather & Pacquiao & says he will retire as one of the 10 greatest fighters of all time. I will be firmly rooting for Dirrell, although I have a suspicion he might lack the experience for Froch at this stage.
I cant see Dirrell winning this everything is against him, venue, ref, etc etc.
His chin looks a bit suspect to, aswell as the level of his compitition being very very different to what he is fighting against Froch. Big props to Dirrell for agreeing to this event with his experience, but I cant see him winning in Nottingham against Froch who will be on him all night, Froch KO 8th for me.
I've been waiting to see Direll unconcious every since he jabbed and spun away from punches of this game short guy (Curtis Stevens?) that had no reach because he had arms like a T-Rex.
I don't think it will happen against Froch though. It would be funny to see, but Froch has got lead feet and I think he'll need to take a cab to catch up with Direll. Direll's ego won't let him gas and be a sitting duck like Taylor was, unless Froch spends the whole fight wearing him down.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Froch might win, but not because he is clever, DIrrell is a way more talented boxer, and I don't jsut mean physically, he throws straighter punches, he has better timing, better defensive skills, better combinations, and to boot he is waaaayy faster, pretty much literally twice as fast as Froch, I could see Froch eventually wearing Dirrell down if Andre doesn't ahve the power to make Froch respect, but watch Ward against Miranda, Ward has less power and a lot less speed than DIrrell and he beat MIranda so easily. I think Dirrell will either lose badly or look how I can't help but see him looking, and thats winning pretty much every round.
Not sure about that, may just walk into a shite load of fast sharp punches for his effort at first start and have to play catch-up.Direll is not his brother, who has a TKO coming his way btw. He's shown improvment, hand speed will baffle Froch at times but Froch is peaking off Taylor win, strong and when his fighting matches his talk, confidence can be effective.
I think this is one of those fights where we simply don't know what will happen.
Dirrell has never been tested at the top level so we can't say whether he will come up short or ace the test with flying colours.
Obviously I hope Froch wins and will be rooting for him but Dirrell is an unknown quantity in terms of how far he can rise to the occasion. Certainly so far he has beaten every man put in front of him and he has all the tools.
It's entirely possible that Dirrel could be the weakest link in the tournament but also he may go on to win the whole thing. That's the beauty of this fight, we have a tough as nails, big punching, aggressive and unbeaten world champion against a guy who is younger, faster, slicker, technically better but as yet unproven.
It could be King Arthur vs Lancelot with the son of Pendragon besting Lancelot for the first time, or it could be William the Conquerer against Harold Godwinson, with the plucky William taking advantage of Harold's tenious grip on the throne and his recent battle with Hardrada (Taylor) which has left him somewhat exposed and weakened in the eyes of many.
It's going to be a battle for the ages whichever way it goes down!
