Default Bernard Hopkins giving fodder to the media

On the now "controversial" stoppage of Roy Jones Jr. "That's why I never go over to Europe and fight anybody"

That brings back memories of Mike Tyson's golden "I'm going to fade into Bolivian"

I knew he would make a case for Roy so he could try to justify staying with his plans to fight him.
Why would he fight Green ,tougher fight for less money and if he wins he beat a nobody on his resume.

Yes but the point of this thread was to poke fun of Bernard thinking Australia is in Europe

lol. I did not even realize this. Funny how so many people make this mistake. I heard him say it but I had no idea the fight was in AussieLand
To make matters worse, Austria is in Europe that can confuse anyone in a minute

Isn't Australia where the Brits send all of their pervs?

I like how Hopkins has more faith in RJJ fighting him than Jones does. I mean, this could be a really big challenge for Jones....

If Hopkins still tries to make this fight happen I will , at every chance I get, call him a pussy. I think if he though the division was dormant last year this time, things have most definitely taken a turn for the better.

Let's run through some quotes... not verbatum...
"I don't want to fight Dawson bc I don't want to ruin the young up and coming talent in the division."

"Jones, an all time great should not have been stopped like that by that ref. I mean he's a ring legend. He deserves to say when he quits or when he gets knocked out. Most of those punches missed from what I see" ...sorry BHop, but you need glasses...

I hate to say it, but if you still want the RJJ Hopkins fight to still happen, you need to check your head. RJJ will come in a 10-1 underdog.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."

    - and I quote from some random guy on the internet

That was funny shit from Hopkins.

Hopkins clearly didn't go to Geography class at school.

Well to be fair here is what they teach us in school here.

First of all the Europe statement was gold...

As far as the "shakey stoppage"... Bernard should be ashamed of himself for that remark and thinking that the boxing public is that stupid.

Just playing the devil's advocate here, and not trying to spoil anyones fun, but he could just be using the example of Roy going over to Australia to fight in his opponents hometown as a justification as to why he never went over to Europe to fight guys in their home towns. You know what I mean? Doesn't necessarily mean he thought Australia was in Europe, maybe he was just trying to illustrate why he never wanted to go to a foreign land to fight an opponent in their home town.

You can't know B-Hop for being pissed, that's money AND revenge he just missed out on. He COULD fight Danny Green in Australia though and with B-Hop's style I doubt he'd have trouble with Green.

Yes beanflicker and I figure you're correct but that way isn't as funny

Many Americans actually believe we all talk like Arnold Schwarzenegger and often confuse us with Austria!

Obviously the fight shouldn't happen, but I honestly feel Roy Jones could still have a better chance of beating Hopkins than Danny Green. Neither fights have much intruige to them, Hopkins clearly needs to fight Adamek or Dawson, or retire.
