Yeah there was a photographer on here talking about that. It was pretty clear the bell sounded, should have stayed a DQ IMO. Can't make exceptions for this.

If you look at Abell's posture it seems like he did hear the bell. Because he drops his hands but then as the ref brings the fighters together...again. Abell sees Butler approach him, probably figuring he heard wrong -- and starts punching. They tell you protect yourself at all times... Abell was already in a mode to finish Butler and figured rather than put his hands up and step back .. he would finish Butler if the fight was continuing.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
