"Sixty forty I kicks yo' ass, Sixty forty I tears yo' ass up" - Roy Jones
Hopkins couldn't even beat Jones fairly at this stage. Take away all the bullshit and you've still got a very competitive Jones who gives Hopkins a tough night.
I want to see Hopkins go for heavyweight now in a final attempt to say "Look at this, Roy!". Haye will bust him up and hopefully that will be the end of Hopkins.
Bhop will never achieve the highest feats that Jones has ever.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Bernard Hopkins is just a blue collar fighter....he's the Marvin Haggler to Roy Jones Jr's Ray Leonard. Hopkins is never going to receive the fanfare and the appreciation that RJJ will, but he's an all time great but it's been time to call it a day. I think right after the Pavlik fight would have been a hell of a note to leave on.
RJJ beat Hopkins when it mattered and with one hand.

"The day I clipped the Butterfly's wings."
Well B-Hop was a novice back then, but so was RJJ regarding pro fights. I just wish they would of settled it back in 2001, when they were both at there peak.
Its a shame that the 2 times they did meet, it was when they were novices, and then when they were shot. But i still have no doubt RJJ would of been a clear points winner.
Whoa, Lyle ...... Hagler was the marquee fighter of most of the 80's. He was in classics with Hearns, Duran, Leonard et al.
Hagler was always fit, never disrespected an opponent, fought everybody around withour exception, kept the titles unified and was never knocked off his feet (i dont care what people say, he slipped against Hamsho)
I wouldn't usually even mention B-Hop in the same paragraph as hagler, never mind the same sentence!!
