He was absolute shit. Running around taunting and barely throwin a punch, verbally abusing Maia, egging maia on when he wouldnt engage himself. It was disgusting, Maia has my respect and Anderson lost mine. What a waste of the main event.

Yeah I think he was as disgusted with his performance as the fans were. Really disappointing card, BJ Penn simply didn't turn up, the Hughes Gracie fight only had any action in the last two minutes of the fight.
I imagine Dana was fuming by the end of the night.
dana was really disgusted with silva, he kept rambling about it in the post fight interview.
i think something is wrong with penn, knee problem perhaps? he never fought like that. im not taking anything away from edgar he fought well. and he showed how to neutralize penns sprawl.
oh and good thing the ref noticed edgar drenched with vaseline! edgars team was trying to pull off a gsp cheat.
kuddos to mark munoz for a great come from behind victory.
The whole card was pathetic. Hughes and Gracie looked like an exhibition, BJ took Edgar far too lightly, and that isnt the first time. And as for Anderson........Horrific.
I dont think they could have showcased the UFC in Abu Dabi any worse to be honest.
Some people say boxing is a matter of life or death, it's not, it's far more important than that.
As someone new to the UFC, Silva managed to showcase something that got me into it in the first half of his fight & then blow it by running in the second half.
The Velazquez/Nogueira & GSP/Hardy cards did much better in at least giving me a fight or two to make me a fan.
I've never been impressed by Silva's attitude in the ring. He never shows anyone respect. Not sure why anyone expected an exciting fight out of him, I think he is leagues above so many others in skill, and knows it.
... maybe ... a little Floyd Mayweather syndrome? Why lock horns when you can basically fight someone who is stuck in quick sand? I dunno, just sucks when fighters like this reign for so long.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
If that's all you have seen of Silva don't be overly critical. He is simply spectacular when on his best form.
He seems to thrive when a guy comes for him and gives him a fight, but he simply won't go looking for anybody and waits for them to come to him.
Against Forrest Griffin he looked like a prime Roy Jones in MMA he was that good, but last night he stunk, just as he did the fight before Griffin.
He seems to be like Wlad one day and Gamboa the next.
The only good fight on the card was Grove against Munoz, which is a real shame as the UFC cards are nearly always excellent and great value.
A bit unrelated but UFC 111 was outstanding IMO. I was really impressed with that Carwin fella. A real brute!

Dana threatened to put Silva on the premlims (un televised) and the MMA board may not let him fight in Vages due to him being reluctant to fight and show his skills!
