That would suck and yes Vargas was smart as far as business and investing but as the article reads it looks like someone else was doing the spending.

I know he opened a gym, had a clothing line, part owned a club and also had opened a cell phone store...

Maybe I mis worded what I was trying to say...More or less was saying I am surprised that Vargas allowed that to happen he seemed a bit more on top of things and a bit more of a watch dog then that on his own affairs.....I mean it happens to so many guys not just boxers but Football players, basketball etc....Shit Tua was out 2 years because he was getting robbed and his contract was that if he fought the guys robbing him were entitled to a portion of his purse.....I swear there is a a group of schiesters that just wait to pray on these guys....Sad part is 90% of the time it is only a financial penalty they end up with and no jail time for ripping these fellows off

Vargas is a boxing hero of mine and it's shit that this can happen to anyone courtesy of a selfish robbing p*ick. Fighters put their lives on the line and to see their rewards (nice family home) taken away from them is bang out of order. I don't want to see Vargas back in the ring he had lost the hunger long before his last bout and was looking a shell of his old self IMO. Shame, hope he manages to get this sorted without resorting to fighting again.
