    Default "news" on pavlik

    http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/169796-pavliks-makeover-to-include-change-of-venue-training-regimen

Hopefully its not to late for pavlik to get his shit together and hopefully he cleans up his act. He's probably peaked in his boxing life but a change of venue might just be what he needs and hell he should have gotten a new trainer years ago and could have kept loew as the talking head that he is...who knows tho he might be punching in windows a week from now, was sad to see him bloodied like he was in martinez fight...

Pavlik the drug addict hooking up with a drug dealer!

oh the irony! Pavlik is past it, hopefully he just loses a boring decision and doesnt get knocked out. But he's so much of a mess personally it might do him better to keep winning fights and keep him motivated for something.

Pavlik is done in my opinion. He's got too many demons to deal with and he's not getting any younger. Kelly even at his best was one dimensional, if he goes back to 160 he's going to get beat, if he goes to 168 or 175 he gets beat worse.

I gotta agree, I hate to say it, but Kelly looks to be done at the championship level, it seems like everything went to shit for him after he got his ass handed to him by Hopkins.

I don't wish the dude any bad luck, just sayin' things don't look good for him, at this point it's a little too late for a new venue & trainer to be of much help.

Possibly, that would also be a very logical opponent for Pavlik after a couple of soft touches. That fight would look like rock em sock em robots, both guys are very good offensively but easy as hell to hit.

Well, hopefully he can turn things around for the best. I wish him all that with all my heart, let's see if Oxnard's sun is doing him any good.

I think he's a spent shell. He needs to get some so so wins off air and out of spotlight to see if he still has that feeling. Only then should he take offers from a big show who want to bank his name.

That point is a bit exagerated in my opinion. Kelly returned after losing to Hopkins at 170 to rebound and dominate and stop a game Marco Antonio Rubio in his next outing. Rubio has since gone in to clock some good wins against good opposition. Kelly needed to leave Loew and Youngstown a long time ago for a big name trainer and a change of scenery. It's a shame that it may be too late. I would argue that he could still do damage in the middleweight division if he learned some new tricks, but his physical advantages present at 160 aren't there at 168.
