Default Floyd supposedly agreed a $100m, 4 fight deal with Don King

According to a source on The Truth Boxing Hour.

Would explain why he looked so happy and all smiles at the Alexander/Kotelnik fight.

Get your money man! Good for Floyd. He's 33 and these paydays won't be there soon.

So I guess he's ditching Ellerbe and GBP?

Apparently mate yeah. I assume Don King has persuaded him that he is a better boxer than he is promotor, rapper etc and that it's where he is going to make all of his money. It's some deal for Floyd to be honest, would've been silly to turn that down.

I also think the Pacman/Floyd fight will defo be sorted for next year. Don King will be seeing the $$$ a mile off. Then, after the Pac fight, inevitable that he will fight Devon Alexander as well. Not sure who the other two fights will be against but you can bet your bottom dollar he won't be fighting any GoldenBoy fighters anytime soon.

Lightbulb Re: Floyd supposedly agreed a $100m, 4 fight deal with Don King

I'm no expert on prizefighting, but I think Floyd would make ~$50 million vs Pac. Why is he worried about getting to 100 million?

Finally the two biggest buffoons in boxing have teamed up. Now if we thought Ellerbe was an annoying shit, we have Don King. The man who shamelessly ripped of dozens of boxers throughout the years. Wait a minute, why should I be mad!??

I hope he does Floyd like he did so many other fighters in history. And I also this this topic has little credibility. Floyd will not fight 4 more times, even in the next 5 years.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."

    - and I quote from some random guy on the internet

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I agree he won't fight four more times. I'd bet he only has two more fights left in his career.

The 100m is probably just to promote the fights.

He'll still get extras per each fight I expect

Joe King on ESPN says he has it on very good authourity that one of the fights is definitely against Matthew Hatton at Altrincham Leisure Centre, and if Mayweather wins, he'll rematch Ricky Hatton at Wembley.

    You heard it here last.

This is still not signed it was just a talk they had....What it comes down to is Don has to be able to produce the Pacquiao fight for Floyd to actually sign the deal with him....Don is no fool he sees what money is being thrown away by the fight not being signed and he will be the bug in the ear of both to stop the nonsense...He also knows he will make 3X that of what Floyd will IF he can get him signed

People must have way more invested in these fights than i'm aware of. If the fight happens and pac wins do pac fans get a part of the purse or something ?? Does he send out free t shirts, or thank you cards ? Who gives a crap who sign who and does what. Just show us good fights. What difference does it make if some three legged llama from turkey get's the fight made, as fans we just watch. floyd fights people cry...floyd doesn't people cry. He's with gbp people don't like that, sign with king etc......Who cares if king is this or that if he gets the fight made. What difference does it make to any fan. People have no problem with margarito cheating and getting a title shot yet don king is shady Joe T from friday night fights says it best. It's really sad that people even know every little inch of what happens behind the scenes of this garbage but don't know the names of up and coming prospects.
Hidden Content Click clack ! Give up the purse.........or yetti will find you.

Well then....Is this something that has been bottled up for a while or just off the top of your head?

Yet I have to say I agree with most of it

Hatton's improved a lot and he is naturally the bigger guy. Plus home town advantage with it being in Altrincham.

    Matthew Hatton in Altringham!

The best fighter on the planet, future HOF gives up the glamour of Vegas to come to Altringham!

Stops fighting legends like JMM and Mosley to fight another Hatton!

There's more chance he'll fight Pacman this year with no drugs testing!
