    Default Breathing while punching

Ive read you should always breathe through your nose when your punching with every punch or every kick. Is there a technique to this or just keep practicing this. Ive just started to try this and my cardio sucks by just breathing through my nose. When your not punching do you breathe through your mouth or just stay with the nose to help your lungs

most guys fall into the trap of breathing quickly with every punch and even hissing like you hear from people like Floyd Mayweather, but this is wrong. If you are generating power from your lower body, and core body movement then you can almost breathe naturally while punching. That is why some guys like Pacquiao you don't hear their breathe when they punch, but he doesn't gas out. Each person has to find it in their own body, but the key is punching from your base not trying to solely snap out your arm.

Maybe you should get a message to Floyd somehow to let him know that all these years he's been doing it wrong?

have you ever laced up gloves or trained? Pacquaio yells and makes "noises" when he throws his punches, if his sack wasn't covering your ears, you would hear it.

    Man some people.

The key is on how u exhale. Dont exhale to hard or to violently on every punch. It really doesnt matter if u breathe through ya nose or mouth as much as how heavy u breathe through ya punches. If u are relaxed through ya punches and fight from ya core your conditioning should get u through the fight. Do your homework on old 15 round fighters. Ray Leonard punches against Hearns in round 14 are good examples. Punches hard and crisp without alot of effort. Simply was in great condition and through punches from the middle of his body. Bernard Hopkins is great at it also. Michael Spinx, Mayweather also. All about the relax factor in the long run. The worst example ever IMO is Jermaine Taylor. He simply fights with to much effort. Breathing wrong. But he still was a world champ. If trained by the correct people from day 1, Could have been an all time great. Boxing is mostly mental. Learn every aspect and watch it come together. Hopkins is a prime example. Great teachers dont hurt either. Brother Naazim
