Matchroom seem to be back into boxing in a big way after being quiet for a long time.
Can only be good news for boxing.

It is great, the only reason is because they are making a shitload of dosh in there other sports and Eddie Hearn is now in charge and he is a huge boxing fan, I read a good interview with him and he basically said there is no money to be made in boxing for his company but because the darts poker and snooker are booming he is not to bothered taking a small hit or even breaking even to bring good boxing to the fans and her is a huge fan, so hats of to Eddie and his Dad who are basically doing it for the love of the sport.
The total pot is 96k, the total income for the show in a small arena won't be much more than that. Why do you think fat Mick and all the other promoters are on there arse? There is no money at British/European level to be made by promoters you need a PPV or a real star in the making who has appeal to non boxing fans.
Either way it is good news now hope they can make a deal with ITV or BBC.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

They are still refusing to confirm 'those' rumours.
But, on a brighter, note:
Eddie Hearn has confirmed the signing of The Cobra to Matchroom Promotions.
Be good to see him back on Sky where he belongs.
