    Default Left hands

Here are some of the sport's finest ever thrown

In this one Joe Walcott has been feinting before throwing his left hook for eight rounds. Now in the ninth he doesn't feint and just throws. Expert crasftsmanship!

In this one Ray Robinson, at 36 lands two right hand bomb bodyshots. Then he feints a third and instead throws a counter left hook and iron jawed Gene Fulmer is out!

The Sheriff sees this one coming. Twice in a row he throws jab, chopping right, left hook. The second time it lands on Dick Tiger.

Go to 3:15 or so on this one. Victor Galindez throws two right uppercuts and then tries and overhand right and Marvin Johnson lands an overhand left counter that breaks Galindez's jaw, drives him all the way across the ring and out!

Go to 9:30 or so here. Joe Frazier is smokin', bobbing, weaving, hooks to the body, hooks to the head. Canadian toughie George Chuvalo is hanging with him when a short Frazier hook breaks Chuvalo's eye socket.

I don't know exactly in this fight where it happens, but Pipino Cuevas and his, literally, bone breaking left hook does it again somewhere in round nine (3:45 or so). Harold Weston is coming on when Cuevas lands a whole series of left uppercuts and hooks! Somewhere in there Weston's jaw is broken and the doctor stops the fight.

I'msurprised by the lack of a desire to talk about these fights, the left hands, how the fighters positioned themselves etc. Do you guys just not give a crap about stuff like this? I'm new here and I don't want to post things you folks don't want to see.

    Let me know huh?

I'm sure people will reply to this one soon enough. You've been putting up some quality posts around here. I would mention a certain fighters left hand but I don't want to start another hate vs hate thread.

I almost posted that but I thought if I looked at it again Foster might actually have killed him! Foster always reminded my of a giant bird of prey. He'd come swooping down and BANG

Niiiiice! Finito one-punched men with every punch in the book didn't he? That uppercut was so short and he was so well-balanced it was deceptive even when it landed.

It's almost funny watching Manny chase Sasakul around looking silly until Sasakul slows down just a tiny little bit and it is over.

I can never figure out why folks think Oscar took a dive against BHOP. I thought that was a standard clean left under the ribs. No surprise that location finished the fight.

Tiger looks like he'd been shot and the way his head banged off the canvas, ugh. You're mention of the Cobra reminded me that I'd left off the Bodysnatcher's hook against him that finished him.

One of the most memorable left hands in Campos/Trinidad was the one where Campos dropped Trinidad in the second round. That punch traveled 4"-6" maximum.

I was shocked. Villamor was game and had his best round prior to the KO ( Sheridan still not sure to give him that round ).

He lost every round. That was schooling from Sasakul. Power the GREAT Equalizer

Hopkins is a Natural light Heavyweight who is a freak. He is the exception on fighters draining themselves to fit a division. He was 156 at the scales but still looked like a primed LightHeavyweight at fight night.

Now image that guy landing a left hook to the body (even not in full swing) on a natural Welterweight whose 1st belt was at 130.
