    Talking Plyometrics Pushups

    Hi everyone

Just wonderin about plyo pushups, i manage to clap while pushin myself up from the floor in a pushup position but at what speed do u need to keep up to class it as a plyo workout as its explosive workout? is the clapping motion quick enough to create the plyo excercise correctly?

    Thanks for your help

think of blasting off on the up part of the press-up. Once it slows it's not really plyometric.

I'm practically doing the clapping push ups, 3 sets of 10 reps but towards the end of each set rep getting a little fatigued but still managing to do a the full rep of clapping, and springing myself up etc.... I have made a way that its more different by resting my legs/feet on a higher object, therefore more pressure and thrust is needed, but i'am only doin 5 sets of 5 reps to keep my form to a strong explosive motion etc
