Maidana certainly can bang , but his foot work is terrible , i think he was lucky that Morales eye closed so early in the fight, otherwise he would have been schooled. iI take the Ghost to do exactly that and win a wide UD.

I feel the same way as you guys do about the fight, Maidana is big and hits hard, but has terrible footwork and theres a good chance he'll get a boxing lesson from Guerrero.

Just the same, I'll be there live in San Jose rootin for Maidana to get the KO.

Forgot about that. I think I only watched parts of that fight. I figure Maidana may check his chin a few times. Guerrero's got the boxing skills on him. Who knows. It should be a war either way.

Maidana will probably find his chin but the earlier the better unless he has been working hard and heavy on his foot work and someone posted earlier.

On paper, Guerrero should outbox him easy but what I question is Guerrero's mental toughness. Why dont people ever question that??

You look at the guys who beat him or gave him trouble and they all have one thing in common.. Gamaliel Diaz, Orlando Salido( although he was roided but roids dont turn someone into a pressure fighter ) and Daud Yordan who made him quit at the first sign of blood.. IN these bouts, Guerrero was pressured and roughed up and he had no answer for it. Instead he got frustrated and demoralized..

Yes, he did manage to beat a pressure fighter in Katsidis but that's because Katsidis fought the wrong fight. Katsidis went out of character and stayed the outside instead of working his way inside like he usually does, letting guerrrero dictate the pace... and c'mon, anybody decent can beat katsidis so i dont think much of that decision victory.. Even an old ass casa knocked him out years before and so did Marquez..

Maidana comes in the similiar mold as those dudes like Diaz, Yordan, and Salido but he's alot bigger, more relentless, and punches alot harder than those guys so I really wonder how Guerrero will handle that type of pressure. BAsed on his history, it's not abnormal to think that he'll fold but he's a different fighter now so who knows.. ON top of that, it's his first bout at 140 so it's very hard to speculate how he'll handle the punching power of a bonafide JWW..

For now, I'm with Guerrero but Im not too confident...I might change my mind later..

Dont know why but I've never liked Guerrero... Even more so after I thought Cino would be the one to beat him and her opted out of the fight and then he opens his mouth and tries to lure JMM into a fight.
I dont care who beats him as long as they beat him.
