Default Richard Abril impressive despite robbery

It seems like right now a lot of people are focused on the robbery, while it was pretty bad sometimes losing a very controversial fight against a rising star can be equally good for your career as a win. We the fans understand that Abril was the clear winner tonight, he was very impressive. My question is, who would you like to see him fight next?

I don't think he was that impressive. He was the clear winner, but his style is awful.

He dominated a rising star in Bam Bam Rios who came in over the weight limit.. Was a champ who only lost his belt on the scales and was unbeaten. I had Rios winning 2 rounds.. if that is not impressive, I don't know what is. His style has nothing to do with his impressive performance. If everyone in boxing had the same style or "entertaining" brawler style then it wouldnt be called the sweet science. Well at least thats my opinion a complete shut out is impressive to me sometimes just like a KO win.

I can't wait to see JMM demolish Rios. Rios has no class and he deserves to be beaten like the little punk he is!

Coming in as the +480 underdog and winning the fight is always pretty impressive in my book.

I agree. Here's the thing, he doesn't have a lot of knockout power. It's like Ward. He can box, but he didn't hurt Rios that whole fight.

Exactly how I saw it mate, I was really impressed! He fought his fight and fought to his strengths, wasn't dragged into fighting how rios wanted or where he was more comfortable. He totally dominated. Maybe not huge power but still I was very impressed!

He fought a good fight, neutralised Rios' work and took away his rhythm.

I disagree Miles, it certainly wasn't thrilling, but Abril boxes somewhat like Floyd Mayweather. On the inside he uses that shoulder and elbow for defense, and sniped Rios from the outside with some really clean punches.

Abril was certainly a lot more pleasing to watch than Carlos Molina was against Kirkland.

Abril is a very talented boxer, looks a lot like Ricky Quiles if anyone remembers him. Anyway Abril had great stamina, a smart gameplan and fast hands. He also took a few hard shots from Rios and didn't budge.
