You employed him and if you and Beard both thought you were in danger of burnout, why let Mayweather who had already tarnished your reputation by his despicable comments about Roach, ruin what was already going to be an uphill struggle against Manny Pacquiao. Don't get me wrong, I don't think in retrospect that Ricky Hatton would have beaten the Pacman but I think he would have lasted longer and given a better account of himself. While i'm at it I would ask Manny why he showed virtually zero concern for Hatton after he looked in desperate danger of fitting etc after the KO. That coupled with the easing off against people like Mosely and the clear smugness after the robbery against Marquez just meant I couldn't respect him again as much ever again.
