    Default Weidman crushes Munoz

How good do you think Weidman really is? Is he ready for Anderson?Should he go to the head of the line or be forced to wait?

Hard to say really, Munoz had been on the shelf for a while so it is hard to gauge just how impressive this victory truly is for Weidman. He is well on his way to a title shot if he keeps this up though

I think wins over Maia and Munoz are more impressive than anyone elses best two wins (barring maybe Belfort but it is too soon for him to get another title shot), but I think he would benefit from another top 5 opponent before a title shot.

Everyone was saying Munoz was next in line, he was a beast, massive GNP, AND trained some striking with Donaire in a vid I saw awhile back.

It was actually pretty cool seeing Donaire throw that left getting outweighed by almost 100 lbs and having so much more snap.

Anyways Weidman looked dominant in every aspect of this fight, he outstruck Mark, he took him down with ease, passed guard, attempted multiple submissions, AND he finished the fight with some great GNP of his own.

I've seen fighters get title shots for less, shit Anderson got his after his destruction of leben.

Weidman definitely deserves a title shot. The Munoz/Weidman fight was in my eyes a title contenders match, and he won very decisively.

I don't think Silva fights again this year. Weidman would be on the shelf for a while if he waits for a title shot. I also think that the UFC really wants Bisping and Anderson. I'd be willing to guess that if Bisping beats Stann decisevly and Lombard doesn't destroy Boetsch he will get the next title shot. Put Weidman in against Belcher and you have a pretty good title fight option down the road.
