Opinions please! I know Slightly different weights but saying they managed to somehow meet close or as said just p4p!

Wright style was all wrong for Froch

I rank Froch higher . He has a few telling stoppages and KDs 2 his credit unlike Wright and both were never stopped .
Also Froch did much better vs Jermain Taylor .
True he was bigger and younger than Wright , but there may b a case that Taylor was drained vs Wright whereas vs Froch he was not .

If I'm honest I think it would be a repeat of what froch did to Abraham.
And similar to what Paul Williams did to winky
Froch I think would just pound hard for 12 rounds and whatever winky would land wouldn't hurt froch as winky isn't what I'd call a hard puncher.

Froch would struggle with Winky's right hand. Can't land anything infront of it or behind it and its always there peck peck pecking.

Carl is rugged but not rough enough to disrupt Winky.

The difference in strength would be pretty substancial though. IF Carl's power could pacify Winky then yoi would have a situation very similar to the Abraham fight but I figure Winky has bags more savy and skill to get caught waiting and finds ways to peck peck peck his way into the fight.

i am a massive froch fan and i think he is one of the most regularly under rated fighters that i can remember

always the underdog, i cant remember the last time he was favourite going into a fight

I think he beat Kes by at least a couple of rounds and has only been on the receiving end against ward who is very good at fighting on the edge of the rules

having said all that if you could some how put these two in the ring together at the same weight, both at their best i think wrights style would be tough for carl, wright might even pip it

thing is tho, the difference between welterweight and super middlewight in punching power is huge and i dont remember too many fighters who could pull off the style wright had at SMW, It would be difficult for him to absorb the punches froch would throw at him for 12 rounds like he could against the welterweights even if they are on his arms

Vasquez was wide, wild and known to get stunned and literally bounced a young Wright off the canvas a couple of times.

Yeh, with ya on two of the five kd's being iffy. Wright also got sucked into exchanges and I think Vasquez was as close to a Froch in terms of that awkward almost all out style with some pop than anything Wright faced while he was near the top of food chain. Wright had a way of settling against other guys he was seemingly levels above.
