    Thumbs up starting boxing

    Hi guys,
I am aged 32 and I have never boxed. Is it too late to pick up gloves? I just wanna do it for fitness and self defense.

If I was to start now at 28 how far could I go?

    Paid ranks?
    English title ranks?

You get how much you put into it.

It certainly is not going to be easy, and it depends how good you are, a few good wins would put you in line for a regional title then who knows.

I box my mates who are well into it and I hold my own all day long, kinda like absorb punches that land on my back and shoulders but never seem to get hit in the body or sides as I protect with my elbows but boy my elbows hurt for like a week!!
And I like to jump in and jump out kinda like andre ward does obviously not slick like him, but if someone can't hit you cleanly then it's gotta mean something.

Ps I boxed from 13 to 17 then fell asleep behind the wheel and shattered my orbital rim but is now been replaced with plate perfectly.

Heey just some advice, dont try to rush into things, take it easy in the beginning, it will take time and a lot of practice before getting somewhere in this sport, And it's not easy, But its not impossible.

Try it out and see what you think of it first, and if everything goes smoothly and you get a long fine at the gym, keep going. you certainly will have some up and downs for sure, but just hang in there.

    Kind regards!

Good luck there are people on here who have started late and are having some fun.
