Cleveland Williams was badly gunshot a year prior to fighting Ali. Williams had been inactive the entire year of 1965 while recovering from gunshot wounds he suffered at the hands of a police officer arising out of a traffic stop...Williams was shot with a .357 Magnum in the abdomen, barely survived, and suffered permanent kidney damage, a loss of over ten feet of his small intestine, and nerve damage from the bullet which affected his left leg above the knee, causing it to atrophy as a result! It's well documented. Also note Williams was inactive for 2 years after Ali which indicates the condition of his health!
Ali was fighting a near cripple and u want us to give him credit for it?? He looked so good because Williams wouldn't even pass the medical nowadays! Try again...

@Philosopher... I dont really like Ali mate so you got me wrong. He was dancing like a little Stymie in the little rascals bitch-ass nancyboy 2-part gay play showing off like a young buck and then coming in a whipping combinations. Dont like it much and sometimes he went 45 seconds to a minute without throwing a single solitary punch for which I would penalize him for not fighting if I had been the ref.
I was just saying Williams did better than K2 would ever do against this Ali.
Mate its common knoweledge that he was in greatly diminished physical condition that Williams fought for the heavyweight championship against Muhammad Ali on November 14, 1966. The shooting incident is well known. The sources are easy to find. Do your own leg work. It's plagerism if you dont cite your source lol
Williams retired from boxing after the Ali bout LOL.

So he was of a higher class than most of K2s opponents?
WOW!! I think you are a wind-up artist, I seriously doubt you are being serious. If you are, then you are crazy. What was his best win? How many times did he win the title? What was his amateur career credentials? Willliams would not even pass the medical to fight nowadays and retired after fighting Ali! LOL.
Overview: Williams scored only 19 KOs in his entire heavyweight career. Some monster puncher! He has a heavyweight KOratio of 40% He is a bigger featherfist than Chris Byrd. Aditionally he was brutally kayoed by 50/24 bum Bob satterfield. Brutally kayoed by a mob ruled heroine (who's real D-O-B is unknown!) addict Sonny Liston twice! And he couldn't even beat Eddie Machen who was easily stopped by small european level HW Ingemar Johansson! All this even before he was nearly killed prior to fighting Ali!
Guys like he and Ernie terrell (who incidentally also beat williams) would be nothing in todays era:
Ernie Terrell IS ONE OF THE WEAKEST MOST FEATHERFISTED GUYS ever witnessed in the whole history of real heavyweight boxing. He scored only 2 KOs (in his entire career) in real heavyweight fights.
1 KO against Garcia (who started at 150+ lbs).
and 1 KO against a 33-16 bum (Bill Drover).
Terrell's real heavyweight record (200x2) is 9-5. Terrell's medium weight is 197 lbs. He was a CRUISER.
Ernie Terrell is NOTHING compared to the Klitschkos or HW's of today, and neither is Williams! (Especially the version with one leg and no stomach that Ali fought!) Do u really want us to believe that someone who was brutally stopped by Mac Foster twice was better than Byrd, Solis, Chagaev, Peter, Brock etc?
The facts are thus:
-large part of his intestines were removed prior to the fight
-his kidneys were damaged
-he couldn't train
-his leg was atrophied
-he has no decent wins
-no titles
-lost 13 times
Wipe the win against featherfist Williams off the record of Ali. Disgusting u should make such a statement... but like I said, I don't think you are being serious though and if you are, you are crazy... .
