    Default Time to go.!

I feel it's time for Ricky Burns to call it a day, he did not look up to much he was pretty poor,!
Ricky has had 10 World title fights, he's a nice guy he has nothing to prove, he's not the same
fighter time to get out with all your marbles.
Ricky loves boxing but I can't see the point in becoming a punch bag,! but again fighters never
    no when to walk away.

Being off the domestic scene, I've never really seen him, but I woke up 3 am this morning and so tuned into his fight and it was poor. I'd heard his name so expected something, but he was flabby and allowed himself to be outworked. Commentators sounded down on him too. Maybe fading, but I've no idea.

Against Kevin Mitchell he was brilliant but since then he has not looked that class. Give him time at this level, if it does not improve and is not there there, he should call it a day.

Ricky's last 4 fights have been pretty poor, I can't see him getting any better remember when you
have been a World Champion, were do you go back to domestic level I am afraid that's about the
level Ricky is,! I like Burns always have well before he was a Champ.

Burns got a gift title, and kept it on the European side fighting Latinos with no name or European no-hopers.

He bit off more than he could chew with Beltran and after that they threw him in there with Crawford- a guy they wrongly expected that they would beat handily. When he got Katsidis, Katsidis was all but done.

He had a good run. But much like Gavin Reese, it was only a matter of time before they petered out.

Ní mór Ricky long chun léim más cuí leis i ndáiríre go bhfuil dornálaíochta cuid dá todhchaí agus ciallaíonn sin trasnú sin lochán agus ag cur ar cuma difriúil . A iontach dom nach bhfuil Mayweather táthar ag iarraidh a chrochadh suas an leathair bunaithe ar a dhá performanes uafásach i gcoinne plodder tríthoiseach amháin agus fós ar overachiever i Ricky iarrtar ar scor bunaithe ar fheidhmíocht leibhéal.

Lol anyway what I said ^

Ricky needs to jump ship if he really thinks that boxing is part of his future and that means crossing that pond and taking on a different look. Its amazing to me that Mayweather is not being asked to hang up the leather based on his two terrible performanes against a one dimensional plodder and yet an overachiever in Ricky is asked to retire based on a level performance.

Burns is not a great fighter he's a good one,! he was a World Champion at 2 different if that's
luck well we all need some,! he had a good boxing brain he had been put on the floor a few times,
but he was a tough SOB , he beat opponents he was not supposed too but he did.
Ricky Burns has achieved more than most fighters a World Champion, he deserves credit but I
think it's time to retire, it's not there anymore.!

Burns had a good career for a domestic level fighter. He got some gift decisions but oh well.

I think kevin mitchell should rematch him and claim that ass.

Kevin mitchell would mirk him in a rematch, no doubt about it.

I dont know Mitchell looked awful against maduma. Very interested to see how he does against Estrada. He gave Figueroa hell so be a good fight to gauge how mitchell has progressed.

Burns is shot now. Heard a rumour he was being fed to Matthysse next but cant see that happening.

Burns was on fire against Mitchell that was his peak. Wonder what would happen now.

He beat Roman Martinez who has only since been beaten by Mikey Garcia. That was a well earned world title. He won his 2nd world title off Katsidis and defended against Moses, Mitchell, Gonzalez, Beltran and Crawford. Combined recs of 133-7. 2 of which unbeaten. He was a decent under dog against Crawford and noone was expecting an easy win for him.

You could be right about Burns, but he succeeded were Kevin Mitchell fell short and in all honesty
Kev just looks past his best as Burns mate.

Your rating them both off each other. Neither are really top world class and never were are they.

The pair of them still fought better opposition than Fury has yet.
