Default Khan vs. Senchenko in the works for 20th April 2013 in Manchester

Khan Eyes Hatton Revenge, Targets Senchenko For 4/20 - Boxing News

Khan considering going to 147 for a marketable Hatton revenge fight. Senchenko is holding out for half a million though. I think he is entitled to after the Hatton win as he has raised his profile in the UK and Khan can probably make a decent payday from this fight against a moderate puncher.

I'm glad to see Khan testing the 147 waters. Malinaggi has shown that this guy can be outboxed and as long as Khan doesn't get caught he should be able to box him for the fight. I think Khan wins a late stoppage or a wide UD.

The biggest interest in this fight is that Khan will be moving to welterweight. It is against the Hatton conqueror and will be sold on the back of that. Khan should win the fight and it will be interesting. I think Khan will move down to light welter to have a rematch with Garcia after this so I do not know if this will affect him physically to do that but I assume there is no one of interest that he could fight at that weight at that time.

Hatton was ahead on points just about at the time of the stoppage and fought a poor fight. He was winning purely on aggression and just rushed Senchenko time after time it was not a pretty performance. Khan has the frame to carry the weight well. I'm no Khan fan but I don't see him having any problems with this fight. Either takes a wide UD or just obliterates him. Too much speed, too sharp. As with any fight I now always give both fighters a chance of victory, anything really can happen and Khan likes to do the Judah wiggle if the right shot lands. Could happen but my money would go on Khan. If there's good undercard might be a good show.

Here comes Super Khan to save the day !

Khan is a very good boxer, but sometimes his choice of opponents is a little pedestrian.

It was impressive for a comebacking Hatton to fight Senchenko, but not so much for a very active prime young Khan.

There is nothing that Khan could do that would make you a fan of his?

    Decent fight for Khan.

Senchenko can't deal with movement so Amir should be able to do circles around him.

I'll say one thing for Senchenko, he doesn't mind fighting in front of the home-crowd in Manchester.

Khan may manage to get by Senchenko, and if he does then he'll start puffing his chest out again, and get another title shot.

P.S. Danny Garcia flattens Khan in a rematch.
