Default Oscar now claims Floyd fights 25 seconds a round.

They sure are pulling out all the stops. What next, Chavez senior saying he's nothing but a counter puncher.

So he fights for 300 seconds in a 12 round fight or 5 minutes in a 36 minute fight according to Oscar and dominates his opponents and yet according to Duran Floyd is ordinary. That’s some pretty special logic right there.

Interesting, Floyd is no doubt a master but his fights can be boring. He has the ability to make good fighters look like amateurs. I get what Oscar is saying, how often do we see Floyd on the attack. I think all of us, as boxing fans, appreciate what Floyd does but to me he is one of the more boring superstars I have seen. Do you think Canelo has a chance at getting Floyd. Floyd is always fighting Floyds fight, I do not know if Canelo is good enough to change Floyds game plan. It certainly will be interesting. If Canelo can get through to Floyds body Canelo may be able to defeat him. I am not holding my breath. PS-I have never seen Canelo fight a whole round either

A lot of people said the same thing about SRL - and a lot of people choke on the Haterade they drink.

Ridiculous. I do think he coasts sometimes and does only what he has to do, but 25 seconds a round?

One of Floyd's biggest assets is that he has the ability to make opponents fight at his own pace and because he can dictate the pace, he fights when he wants to and rests when he wants to.. That's what OScar is trying to say I think..

That's why Canelo has to press the issue and make him fight hard for every minute of every round and get him out of his comfort zone but he has stamina issues so I dont know how he's gonna go about that..

That's funny coming from Oscar because it's his fighter who is the one who fights for 25 seconds a round...

True but he should have stayed away with trying to quantify it. I mean what does it say about him since he lost to this 25 second a round fighter?

He "fights" as many seconds a round as he needs to win it, just as Canelo tries to do. I guess if Oscar only wants to hype his man up it's understandable, as Sauls only shot in this is to really pressure and be on the attack for the entire fight. The problem is that Floyd has the better stamina here, moves so much more and Alvarez pretty well needs to be set to throw anything.

Kinda makes Oscar sound like a simpleton. Guess maybe he should have fought 26 seconds during those rounds and maybe he would have got the nod.

The only way Canelo will win is if he throws caution to the wind and fights like hell for 3 minutes every round for the first 3 rounds, because unless he knocks Floyd out by round 4 Floyd will have worked Canelo out and punch holes through his defence like Swiss cheese, then cruise to a UD win or possible late stoppage.

The thing is Floyd only needs about 30 seconds a round to make a fool of somebody. Canelo has to be assertive and take a risk, he's not going to win a decision, he has to KO Floyd. I suspect Floyd will do his thing for 30 seconds a round while Canelo is hitting air for the rest of it.

I fear the latter part of your statement may be what happens. I am not a Floyd hater, don't particularly like him but have great respect for his ability. Watching Canelo fight Trout made me doubt Canelos ability to do any, or much, damage to Floyd. You would think by the score cards Canelo dominated that fight but that was not the case. Yes, Canelo won but it was much closer than the cards. Canelo definitely fights in spurts. Canelos defense was much improved, he definitely has the power but I don't think he is slick enough to beat Floyd. I guess he is going to have to try to get on the inside and let go with those massive body shots but can it happen. Canelo is good but I think his God like status in Mexico has gone to his head a bit. I could be wrong about that but I really got that feeling watching him fight Trout. How much better is Floyd than Trout. I may be jaded as I like Trout and I don't think he got a fair shake in Texas. I think Canelo had been ordained by the judges and the only way Trout could win was with a knockout. I really don't see Floyd losing this one, perhaps he will take on the winner of Garcia v Lucas.

It's always a bit embarassing when Oscar trys to bang the drum for one of his guys, remember all his over the top, filmed pep talking with Ortiz?

Are we sure he didn't mean Canelo fights for 25 seconds a round?

Oscar should stay out of the limelight. His predictions are always wrong and he just gets in the way.

That picture of him dressed up as a women just stays in the mind and no one takes him seriously.

Great fighter but richard makes it all happen behind the scenes
