I watched it and enjoyed it. Good to hear how much of an impact a gym can have in the community and they have produced a lot of good fighters. Prince naz should have gone back to that gym, they really did hold him in high regards.
I have a few different style's of Sheffield knives. Just incredible quality.
Herol Graham still amazes me to this day
You can't argue with the success that Ingle style (I know it was really Bombers style) had over the years. And they're still producing top talent - Brook, KG. Amazing.
Naz clearly lost the plot mentally but watching that doc it did spring to mind - if it ain't broke don't fix it.

3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
Great stable , my bruv used to watch Nelson spar in Gran Canaria years ago when they had an open air gym at the Anfi Beach resort, his mate went on to open his own gym in the Canaries that Brook and a few others use a fair bit still to this day.
I heard a story years ago that Graham used to stand with his toes on one end of a newspaper in the middle of the ring with another fighter mirroring him literally toe to toe and still no one could land clean to head or body ?
Forgot Naz only lost to Barrera by 1 round so yeah that def rings true.
It was a bit more than one round but certainly not the onesided whitewash everyone makes out today. And he was long gone from the Ingle camp by then.
Graham-Eubank sparring. Eubank - "I hit him once in three weeks. That one time put him on his back. But the rest of the time he boxed my head off. Why would I fight a man I can't hit."![]()

It was fantastic viewing.
It was good seeing Prince Naseem Hamed in his pomp.
He was incredible & he could have been the best British boxers of all-time, he if he didn't stupidly believe that he'd mastered the sport of boxing before he'd learned his trade properly.
The Prince got drunk on his own power & felt he didn't need the subtleties of boxing in order to succeed.

Yes, excellent documentary, most of us here who have been around bit (boxing fan-wise) will already know how important the Ingles are, Herol Graham IS without doubt the greatest british middleweight never to get a world strap.. he could've beaten the Benn, Watson, Toneys and was by-passed by Hagler late on as a too risky fight prior to his Leonard debacle... The Julian Jackson fight was one of the biggest disappointments I have seen in all the years I have watched boxing.
Brendon Ingels gym has produced very hard to beat fighters,! very unorthodox and a
nightmare to fight.![]()
Its up on youtube under "Sheffield Steel ringside" for those that missed it![]()
