    Default Driving Music

    Evening All,

Greetings of the season yadda yadda yadda.

I was driving from my office to my parents house tonight for Christmas, and listened to a 2CD set of the Rat Pack live. Singing along, laughing at a few of the jokes, cringing at a few of the racist ones aimed at Sammy Davis Jr, but generally it was quite a nice soundtrack to drive to.

Generally I love Bruce Springsteen's greatest hits, a Bon Jovi live album or some old school rap depending on how long I'm going to be in the car for.

What do you like to play for a long drive?

Tony Toni Tone........ I have about 10 tracks from their collection that I find myself playing at least twice when I am taking long drives. Don't know why but I just do.
If you think you can......you can, if you think you can't .......you're right!

Pretty flexible with driving tunes. Last time back from Austin it was Tom Waits. Truth be told halfway across the Bonnie carrie spillway I thought I was going to drive into the swamp

Lost of good ones in there, a few I'm not so keen on, and a few I haven't heard of. Generally, you're probably better car company than one of my friends who has a Christmas playlist of some 300 songs which is on in his car from mid November to January every year. A trip with him is truly hellish.

Thanks, it's hard to make a playlist which all like, but i'm glad you liked a few. Haha i know what you mean, christmas songs is okay for 2-3 weeks. that's the kind of people you rather pay for a taxi then having a ride with them.

i got this friend who listens to techno, trance and with max volume and max bass so the whole car shakes. there is no way you can have a normal conversation in his car.

I do like a bit of Stevie Wonder, and seeing Cee Lo Green at the end there was a bit of a surprise. Might have to check a few of those out, as quite a few names on there I'm not too familiar with. On my drive back down south this morning I'll be listening to the latest cd by Scroobius Pip v Dan Le Sac, which was in my stocking.

I'm guessing its probably going to be an acquired taste based on this vid...
