    Default Classic Pacquiao

His coming out party. First fight in America, he took the fight on 2 weeks notice and came in against a highly regarded champ.

Funny to look back on him. He was a lot more raw and unrefined, but you could definitely see he was something special.

Who could have predicted this 122lber would be knocking guys out at 147 several years down the road.

A special, amazing fighter and consistently entertaining in every fight.
What more could you ask for from a fighter?

I feel bad for Lehlo though. Your opponent drops out and some Philipino guy with two knockout losses you never heard of takes the fight on two weeks notice. He must have been licking his chops, then it turns out to be a young Manny Pacquiao.

They should call him Bob Scare-um, because his fighters got Floyd all shook up.

Right then, he was a one-armed bandit and all aggression and energy.
Roach did a fantastic job developing him further until he became The Fighter of the Decade 2000-2009 voted by the Boxing Writers Association of America.

Ring Magazine's "Fighter of the Year" three times: 2006, 2008, and 2009.

    Tremendous accolades.
Given tremendous respect from the luminaries and legendary fighters of the sport.

This generation is so fortunate to have had Manny Pac Man Pacquiao.
Encompasses everything you'd want to see in a professional fighting man.

I remember when he fought on the under card, knew he would be good but no way did I think he would be that special.
