I had forgotten about this fight. As perfect a left hook as you'll ever see ends it in the first round.

Butler did a lot for having no amateur background n starting late as I remember them saying.
He packed a punch n got bone crusher too i think.
He had some drug problems and his record was spotty. Then he got with Goosen, got clean and won 22 or 23 in a row, I think. Then he relapsed and it all fell apart for him.
Great stuff! Just made me dig up #14 for the cardTubbs was on a solid run. Pretty much out boxed and out hustled Bowe just prior and dropped Taylor 8 damn times for tko.
Shit...forgot he wobbled Butler prior to the axe coming.
He got on a roll there for a minute. Won a bunch in a row. I thought he was on his wayto making some money, then he started getting high again. I remember reading that a guy in his camp said that the only road work being done was when Butler made him go get another rock.
Ouch. The truth from the looks of it. He went in with Lewis and it was like ugh, if only the Tubbs Butler cameSome guys just don't know how to handle it when they find it but with zero experience to the calibur he faced he was fortunate to enjoy the ride..and to have Goosen for a bit.
The only time i heard of butler was when lennox was forced to fight him by King in order to get a title shot after lennox had lost the title.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
