Default Darnell Boone - KO Stevenson & SD loss to Kovalev

Just scouting on Boxrec (Darnell Boone - Boxer) and came across this guy - the guy who beat adonis & took Kovlev to an SD - yet his record is pretty shoddy - anyone know more about him!? Potential?> Lazy? etc just think his record shold be better with those two results but perhaps it was luck & coincidence they are both the champs now

Never judge a fighter off his record alone.. Boone has always been a spoiler who is capable of upsetting a lot of people . He took a lot of fights on short notice but I also think he didnt take himself too seriously.

Boone was also the first guy to knock down Andre Ward from what I remember.. back then, Ward fought with a different style.. dude thought he was roy jones lol and got caught with a stuppid punch while imitating..

Boone was a dangerous opponent.. definitely not somebody u sleep on..

Right you are man. Boone is the definition of a spoiler. Much more dangerous than his record gives him credit for.

I started a thread about this fella a couple years ago, a year ago?

Anyway he is an interesting fighter in that, much like Emmanuel Augustus, he had the talent to be a contender, but due to poor management and the desire for quick cash he went the opponent route.

His record is very deceiving as he was/is a very capable and decent fighter.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
