Default Great fighters with bad footwork.

What are some fighters who were successful, despite having poor footwork?

Pacquiao had exceptionally fast feet but his actual footwork is terrible, hence always being off balance

Rocky Marciano had terrible footwork. Always off balance (which contributed greatly to his few knock downs), but I seem to recall he did OK as a fighter.

This video shows just how bad Pacquiao's footwork is:

Manny is a good example but gets away with it most of the time.

Can't think of many, maybe Big George Foreman.

Didn't Ali go the ropes because Forman cut the ring of better than he thought he would?
That and the humidity. It wasn't pretty, but effective.

I think Pavlik would have been better if he knew how to cut the ring off. He followed, which has something to do with footwork??

Aaron Pryor was even more reckless than Pacquiao, which contributed to him getting dropped. Off balance more so than a suspect chin.

Maybe Nasim Hamed as well. He was flashy, but MAB exposed several weaknesses, one being his lack of balance.

What about Winky Wright? Not bad footwork really but it seemed he hardly moved much. Had to be one of the more flat footed top defensive fighters recently.

Very sure footed? Once Bhop took away winkys jab his mauling tactics kept winky off balanced as well.

Paul Williams just pretty much plodded forwards. Not a great fighter but footwork was worse than bad

Williams was a dumb fighter. He didn't use his reach, he had poor defense, and he had a habit of lunging.

He got it right with Margarito, fought his height and used condor like range. Probably the smartest fight he fought.
