Default Why Kell Brook deserves more respect than Floyd Mayweather

    - When Kell Brook won the title from Shawn Porter, he didn't have a crooked ref protecting him and allowing him to clamp his opponent's arm

    - Brook didn't demand Porter wear gloves with extra padding

    - Brook was fighting IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY in his opponent's home country, something Floyd has NEVER had the courage to do

    - Brook never pretended to be bitten when he wanted a rest or time to recover

    - Brook never pretended to be pushed down to get the ref to deduct a point

    - Brook doesn't beat up women (as far as I know)

Shawn Porter is a better win than Marcos Maidana.

Porter was undefeated and he's never been knocked down.

Maidana is shopworn and has lost to ordinary boxers like Kotelnik and Alexander.

Floyd won that fight vs. Maidana, the second time around, based on sheer ring intelligence.

Floyd's skills have diminished. He ran for most of the fight, and tied up Maidana when he needed a rest or when he was hurt or when he knew impending punches were coming.

Floyd used his brain last night more than his brawn. Maidana used little of his brawn, and not enough of his brain if he had it.

This fight was Floyd doing everything else other than fighting to win. Reminded me of when Ali used to win rounds without throwing a single punch.

Interestingly, Porter dominated Alexander and Alexander defeated Maidana.

They are similar, but Porter is in his prime, while Maidana is a bit faded and shopworn.

Neither did Floyd. Did you watch the fight? By mid week Bayless will be worse then Joe Cortez.
Another mole hill turned into a mountain cause its Floyd Mayweather. Bayless broke up the holding. Thats the same holding that nobody cheering for Wlad seems to care about. Its also the same holding that others bitch about weekly in other fights where the ref does nothing to stop it. The holding btw was initiated by Maidana because the only way he was going to win was to turn that fight into the very fight that everybody watched. Bayless is one of the best refs in the game and calling him a paid hack is a crock of shit.

    - Brook didn't demand Porter wear gloves with extra padding

See this is making things up. Floyd never demanded no such thing and Porter did not bring custom made gloves the day before the fight that were actually reyes gloves with a different cover. As it turned out in the second fight, Maidana was wearing those Everlasts so........

    - Brook was fighting IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY in his opponent's home country, something Floyd has NEVER had the courage to do

Lots of great fighters dont and did not fight in foreign countries and others as little as once or twice over a career. Was it courage with them also? Shall we make a list?

    - Brook never pretended to be bitten when he wanted a rest or time to recover

Something happened and yes that was weird but also totally out of character. I mean Floyds a bit of a baby at times but that was just odd. I doubt it was for the 20 second rest. Floyd was not gassed or hurt and its quite a leap to suggest otherwise.

    - Brook never pretended to be pushed down to get the ref to deduct a point

Pretended to be pushed down? Do you really think that Mayweather thought he needed a point?
I agree that deduction was excessive but it was also irrelevant just like bite-gate.

    - Brook doesn't beat up women (as far as I know)

Accusations by a gold digging full time socialite hooker. Its still not clear that the guy ever even hit his ex and it was based on the testimony of children coached by the same women. Nobody condones that shit but I dont condone false allegation either.

Btw what was Brook doing in that hotel room with a chick when he got knifed?

Seriously, some of you Floyd haters need to take a pill. You also need to quit making shit up to somehow show validity. If you are going to practice situational ethics, at least try to hide it a bit.

Floyd Mayweather does not have to do it. USA brings the money. He has no real need to take his show on the road.

Also Floyd Mayweather MIGHT AS WELL be fighting in a foreign country when he fights in the USA

Indeed he would probably get more love in an actual foreign country than in the USA.

It's not like when Floyd is fighting in the USA everyone is rooting for him and all the fans are cheering for him. FM does not have a Ricky Hatton type following. Indeed part of Floyd Mayweather's appeal is that people pay to see him lose.

Also it's not like Brook put on a master class against Porter. He barely scraped over the line. Had the verdict gone to Porter, no one could have argued that it was a disgrace.

Watch Floyd Mayweather winning his first title against Genaro Hernandez - THAT'S HOW YOU WIN YOUR FIRST WORLD TITLE.

Genaro Hernandez was a former WBA Super-Feather world champion, defending it 8 times before moving up to Lightweight to challenge for the WBO lightweight world title, losing to a prime Oscar De Hoya. He then went back down in weight to challenge for the WBC Super-Feather weight title winning a decision against Azumah Nelson, no less.

He defended this three times before running into Mayweather

Genaro Hernandez fought 41 times. The only two people to beat him were Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De Hoya.

Genaro Hernandez was a WAY much tougher challenge than Porter, who won his world title from Devon Alexander and defended it once against a faded Paulie Malanaggi.

No one can doubt that Mayweather's title winning performance against Genaro Hernandez was a far more impressive performance than Brook's against Porter, especially when add to the fact that Genaro Hernandez was much more sterner test than Porter.

He has beaten Maidana twice. If he was that scared of him, he would not have given him a rematch.

That because Brook would have been laughed at had he done so. Brook was the challenger. He does not call the shots. Respect is earned. FM has put himself in a position by were he can call the shots.

Maidana is an MMA fighter. You don't get to Mayweathers level unless you are tough as hell

This sad oaf has made the exact same post in three locations, Ive seen this thread copy and pasted on BS and CHB I haven't looked at BF24 yet what is his agenda?

He was a huge Wlad fan until the recent crisis in Russia after which he made a post saying he could no longer support Wlad due to him funding Ukraines attack on Russian Nationals.

The Funny ting and not just from this guy is how similar Wlad and Floyd are in the ring both are clearly dominant and have been a level above their opponents for decades but Wlad fans hate Floyd and Floyd fans hate Wlad weird really I wonder why?

Honestly I don't think Porter is a superior win vs a Maidana, as far as experience and being a fully developed well rounded fighter. We've only now reached the point when Porter will truly see if he's as good as we all thought he'd be and reach-maintain a 'prime'. That said I'd rather watch Brook than Mayweather and he had and executed a better gameplan from where I sat.
