Yup very strange. Very weak card. If it had one big undercard fight it could have done really well.

I thought it would do better then 25 thousand more based on that also. Still , its pretty impressive that he did close to a million. I'm convinced he'd sell 500 thousand fighting the door man at the hotel.

Maidana has a huge fanbase and because the first fight was close he'd have won a lot of new fans who genuinely believed he could take Floyds O.

I can see those figures being real, the undercard or lack of it means fuck all.

People will pay when they think there's a real chance Floyd will lose.

The guys got more haters than fans but they will still pay the ppv fee.

I'm surprised it did that many. Maidana, even in making it a close fight the first time, never came close to hurting Mayweather or landing clean with any consistency. It was an ugly fight in which Floyd figured him out in the mid rounds.

The only reason to watch a Mayweather fight anymore is to see if he loses. Mayweather is not entertaining, he doesn't have a killer instinct to hurt guys, he shuts you down and potshots to win.
