Yes at that time even Benn, Eubanks did not want anything of him. Mike does say that Watson gave him his hardest war and was the bravest fighter. That 11 rounds of class boxing/fighting was brilliant to watch.

I thought McCallum won the first Kalambay fight so I don't think Mike ever lost in his prime, he was in his mid 30s when Toney beat him.

I thought Herol Graham beat Kalambay in Italy as well. Herol knocked him down I think twice and still did not get the decision.

I also believe McCallum beat Toney the first 2 times.

Mike McCallum was a beast. He's a guy to me, like Ricardo Lopez, that was a travesty because he was never afforded the opportunity to face great opposition. I would've lived to have seen Mike fight Hearns...etc. during his prime. He and Lopez were so unbelievably good and complete fighters. The 80's n 90's were great eras.
