No ebb n flow, just one sided thrashings, and you either loved it or it tore into the core of your soul!
4. Anthony Pederson vs Jermain White- just a tuneup fight for Anthony who had a fighter that was 13-0. Nice kid, but it was the first time I had seen a fighter [Pederson]holler (POP!) everytime he landed- at one point it sounded like popcorn was popping. By the end of the 3rd Too-Sweet white got to his corner and said "Man throw in the towel, I'm done" Glad he didnt get hurt, but it was fun watching him get popped for 3 straight rounds.
3. Ali vs Terrell (whats my name, whats my name- he wanted to punish him & he did)
2. Bowe vs Gonzalez (unlike Michael Grant who was HYPED up for Lewis- I accepted the status for Jorge,[23-0 21kos] because he did drop and beat up Bowe in the amatuers- Lennox I think also-
The pre-fight antics were classic. They threw stuff at each other, and couldn't even attend pre-events together afterwards- Gonzalez said he wanted to KILL Bowe and eat his heart!
Bowe beat this boy so bad, at one point he should've been DQ'd for hitting after the bell-from one corner all the way to Jorge's corner. This fight wasn't even close, but I enjoyed the whoopin' Bowe put on 6'5 plus Gonzalez.
1. Mosley vs Margarito- I was still upset from the beating Margarito put on cotto, so this was sweet to watch Rito get pummelled & manhandled by a shorter foe, then stopped.
Worst- watching Holmes beat Ali when I was in grade school- was devastating.
Calzaghe vs RJJ- I knew Roy was past his prime, but he had never been busted up. And a guy who is accused of throwing slapping punches had RJJ bleeding like a hog. Man, that hurt to see.
Chavez vs Macho Man- I knew the outcome. As much I respected JCC, I just dug the antics & ring attire of Camacho. He got thrashed, could have quit, but he was macho enough to keep taking it till the end.
I'm sure there are a few others, I can't think of right now, but I ran into Bowe-Gonzalez last night looking through some DVD's and thought about how many lopsided fights, I didn't mind watching.
