Default Anyone from the UK going to Vegas in May

I think I'm gonna do it, must wondering if anyone else is, so we can chat flight and hotel deals etc.

Won't be getting a ticket for the fight, but the CCTV they do is as close as you can get without being there.

It is a shame you will be going all the way there to watch it on a screen.

I am hoping the fight will be on free TV on channel 5 otherwise I will stay up and listen to it on radio 5 live.

I want to go over. Have got a travel agent to price up flights and a room in the MGM and sharing a triple room it works out just over £1,700 but would not book anything before I could secure tickets to the fight. Would not spend a couple of grand to watch a screen!

Apparently thats bullshit. I read that too but it was just the MGM website playing up.

What I dont understand is why people have tickets for sale? Surely thats a windup?

I've been wanting to go back to Vegas for a while now, so this is a good excuse.

If I can get a ticket while there for reasonable money I'd do it, but what I've seen so far even the nosebleed seats are nearly $10k!

The CCTV is pretty cool though, the last one I went to was in a massive arena in one of the hotels, people all around and then a massive TV cube in the middle, so it was like being in a stadium. I've been to a few fights and even with really good seats, that ring is still tiny! At least with it on a screen you can see what going on.

I've managed to price it up for about £1200 flights and hotel staying at New York, New York.

There is no chance of staying in the MGM!

I'll have to have a look, I remember having food in there last time and it looked like a nice place in general.

Possibly pricey, maybe that's why I've not seen it come up, I'd sooner save £500 and stay in still a decent hotel on the strip and then spend the saving on stuff while there.

I have family flying in for the fight and regular rooms have been sold out for the 1st Since late January. Rooms on the 30th were at 285 for the night. Then yesterday reports said it was a glitch. And now they show regular rooms at 780ish for the 1st. I'm guesting brokers (scalpers) as well as mayweather and Pacquiao camps had been buying up a lot Before the offical announcement. Some reporters said early on they were making reservations before the official announcement.

Well this morning I could have booked a triple room for the week for £600.

Let me tell you guys , the hotel prices at fight night are at least double the normal rate , I stayed at the Venetian when Floyd beat Victor Ortiz , the rate was just over double , so expect a pricey weekend.
The MGM isn't the best hotel , stay at the Wynn or Wynn Encore .
