Default GGG opponents- Andre Ward aside, because it will not happen within 2 years!

    Demetrius Andrade

    Vanes Matyrosian

    Badou Jack

    Anthony and Andre Dirrell

(Forget Lucian Bute, but if you want an easy good payday... well...)

    Marco Antonio Periban

The Andrade and Dirrell fights I would LOVE to see at Super-Middle.

As good as those fights might be, the public wants to see GGG-Canelo. No reason for that not to happen now, that GGG looked mortal against Brook and Canelo swept the canvas with Smith.

Jacobs has said he wants it, we'll see about that.if he does, that's what should happen.
But if It doesn't , which is more likely , he should try to get Badou Jack.

Saunders or Jacobs. Jacobs is as good as he'll get and I don't doubt he'll get in there next week. Haymon and whatever remaining ties with GBP may not.

Id rather see him get Saunders. At least if he wins, he can say at that point he has all the belts and can start picking targets he wants to challenge himself with. Otherwise with this kind of mandatory schedule, he'll never be able to hold on to all the belts at one time as the alphabet orgs bumrush trying to get their sanctioning fees. Jacobs had a chance and balked and said he needed a year, so did saunders (wanted more money) but at least GGG is still recognized in some form as WBA (Super) champ. Get the belt you don't have a version of, take your picture with all the belts giving canelo the finger and then move on to your next chapter.

I think if Golovkin beats Jacobs like a drum, its even less likely that Saunders signs. Where as if Saunders signs and gets beat, Jacobs probably just figures he has more time to prepare.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Are we still excusing GGGs people for their ever changing stories

    "Everyone from 154-175"

    "Everyone from 154-168"

Wanted Stieglitz at 168 way back in 2011

Wanted Chavez at 168, "focusing on 160" when Ward was brought up

Wanted Froch at 164, err 166, err, 168, "Focusing on 160" when Ward was brought up

Wanted Mayweather at 154 "focusing on 160" when Ward was brought up

Said they were not big enough of a name yet for Ward, later said they were too big a name. They had to get an even deal "we just want 50/50 from him"

When 50/50 was offered Loeffler said "we think it should wait until after Lemieux and after Canelo because we can get better than 50/50"

I could list more changing stories, many more.

Is this still okay because GGG?

Can't see a problem with that.

Wanted Chavez at 168, "focusing on 160" when Ward was brought up
Yep, he beats Chavez at any weight , wanted to fight Ward at 164 to make it a contest. I think That's a. Sensible and b. A compliment to Ward.

Wanted Froch at 164, err 166, err, 168, "Focusing on 160" when Ward was brought up
Dunno about the "err, err" business. he wanted Froch at 168 and Froch duly retired to avoid him and 3 days AFTER he retired posted pictures of himself on social media saying "too big for GGG!" take the fucking fight then. Again, GGG was happy to fight Froch at 168 because he knew he would beat him . Ward? different Story.

Wanted Mayweather at 154 "focusing on 160" when Ward was brought up
Again, He's humble enough to realize that these are/were the 2 finest fighters on the planet, and to make it competitive, this is what would need to happen. Anyway, who never wanted Mayweather? at one time , Hopkins AND WARD "wanted" Mayweather and wanted him to go to 160! Surely that is more pathetic? Fucking hell, Ward won't budge and inch for GGG but will go down to 160 for Mayweather ffs.

Said they were not big enough of a name yet for Ward, later said they were too big a name. They had to get an even deal "we just want 50/50 from him"

When 50/50 was offered Loeffler said "we think it should wait until after Lemieux and after Canelo because we can get better than 50/50"
Meanwhile all this "talk" was happening whilst Ward hadn't had a meaningful fight in 3 years! How the fuck did he mange to even keep his titles for so long without worthwile defences?

unless GGG fights canelo or steps up and fights a world champ at SMW I don't think ill be that excited about it

not that him fighting another MW is a bad thing, just not that exciting

I'd rather see GGG fight Jacobs than Canelo. Fuck Canelo, he's showed his true colours loads of times, he/GBP don't want it. any other LMW , you wouldn't be too offended if they didn't step up, But Canelo IS A MW. He fucking weighs more on fight night than any MW in the division.

I heard Canelo got on and off the scale really quickly naked when making the weight. Canelo is struggling to stay at the division. Smith is big but I bet Canelo is a light heavy when he steps into the ring.

So quickly, that a good percentage of his body weight was actually suspended in mid air as he hovered over the scale! He pretends to have slow feet in the ring so that people don't catch on to his levitating weigh in tricks. If he had stood on that thing slowly, wearing so much as a sock, it would have just said error.
