Default Rest in Peace Astronaut John Young

He did more than any other astronaut in history: walked on the moon with Apollo 16, flew the first Space Shuttle, flew the first Gemini mission, and flew and tested the Lunar Landing module in orbit around the moon with Apollo 10.

RIP, these guys, astronauts that is, keep me in awe. Talk about brave. What a small elite club it is to have been in space and even more so, go to the moon. When you look at the technology these guys used to travel in the early days, it was amazing they could or would want to do it. There are many more close calls these guys had of nearly dying or being stranded in space. There is a show on the science channel that compiles NASAs records and goes over them. Also many reports by these astronauts of seeing strange things including "space bugs" brilliant brave people. I think it's a bit of a waste of money but it's absolutely amazing.

Nah. no fucker has ever landed on the Moon. If they fucking walked around on the moon 60 years ago, we'd be going there on package holidays now.
