    Russia's Evgeny Tishchenko wins Gold, defeating Erislandy Savon in the 2015 AIBA world amateur's gold medal final at heavyweight.

    I seem to recall Erislandy Savon being the victim of a strange decision when he fought Anthony Joshus in the London Olympics. I thought Savon was unlucky not to get that decision, and of course Joshua has now gone on to be a world name.

    On such fine margins are careers made, and ruined!

    Savon is a good fighter but would never be a household name even if he won gold and beat Joshua. He isnt a big punch, would probably never go pro considering hes from Cuba, and considering how most boxing fans treat Rigondeaux hed just have no hope. The one thing he could hope for if he went pro was that hed get a payday to fight Joshua as they could hype it like they are this Dillian Whyte fight.

    I'm impressed with De la Cruz. He made Ward look foolish at times.
