Default What would a WBSS Heavyweight tournament have looked like?

It won't happen...... but it would have been fun, wouldn't it?

Let's start with 8 seeds. Right now it might look something like:

    1. AJ (UK)
    2. Wilder (USA)
    3. Povetkin (Russia)
    4. Whyte (UK)
    5. Parker (NZ)
    6. Ortiz (Cuba)
    7. Miller (USA)
    8. Breazeale (USA)

Forget all the PED stuff for the moment. Everyone's clean.

So if we did regular brackets (#1 against #8, 2 against 7, etc), the quarterfinals would have been:

    AJ vs Breazeale
    Wilder vs Miller
    Povetkin vs Ortiz
    Whyte vs Parker

Ok so forget Povetkin is already going to fight AJ, or that Whyte just beat Parker.

Assuming the top seeds all won, and using the seeding process for matchups, we would have had the following semifinals:

    AJ vs Povetkin
    Wilder vs Whyte

.... which is what we've been wanting all along, because the Final would likely have been.......

    AJ vs Wilder

See.... it all would've worked out in the end, but with nobody ducking anyone, and everybody would've been satisfied.

Well..... except for Fury fans, who would be outraged that Tyson wasn't even seeded.

Hoping the WBSS takes flight and moves to the other divisions.

We are getting a mini one of sorts:

    Whyte/ Parker = Whyte
    Joshua/ Povetkin =
    Wilder/ Breazeale is front runner
    Chisora/ Takam = Chisora
    Suppose to be Kownacki/ Martin
    Furys back
    We just had Bellew/ Haye
Just need Ortiz and Miller to get in the mix.

Fury, Bellew and Haye can all join a junior varsity tournament as far as I'm concerned. I don't rate any of them. As difficult as it is to sometimes fight 8 or 10 top-flight heavyweights, we're at a moment in time where I think it can be done. But my list includes none of those.

Bellew got rid of Haye, if he can get rid of Briggs or Oquendo next I'll be grateful.

    Lets look at it:

    AJ/ Povetkin
Wilder/ Breazeale (supposed to be next)
    Whyte/ Ortiz
    Bellew/ Usyk

    Something like that could work.

Although I'm not a fan of the tub of lard, I think Miller would probably be more deserving of a spot in a tournament than Bellew.
